Through Israel the families of the world will be blessed. If we are with God and his plan we will be blessed. If we are against him and his plan we will be cursed. Blessing for Israel means blessing for the whole world. We should pray for peace in Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6). Jerusalem will be where Jesus returns. Why does God do what he does for Israel? Are they lovelier than other people? No. God does what he does "for my name's sake" (Isa 48:4-11). "I will cleanse you...give you a new heart (Eze 36:26, Eze 11:19)." Multitudes around the world will come to know that he is God. God will return and do his good work. Understand Israel's rejection (Isa 50) and Israel's outlook for the future (Isa 51).

Paul said "I know you know" King Agrippa. You can believe in the facts--it depends on what you do with those facts that is essential (McGee).
