A Leg Up?

Limbless Lizard

This undated handout photo, provided by Indian zoologist Sushi Kumar Dutta, shows a new species of limbless lizard belonging to the genus Sepsophis, found in the forested region of Khandadhar.

Researchers in India have discovered a lizard without limbs, and it looks virtually identical to a snake. Is this evolution in action, or is there another, better explanation?

Secular scientists often cite such creatures as examples of evolution being witnessed today. In the creationist view, however, such a change does not have anything to do with the upward progression (molecules-to-man) required by evolution. A simple mutation could explain this feature.
