A whole lot of reporting going on!

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "...Most remind me of elementary students tattling to see if the teacher will take action."

It's an opportunity to gossip. I don't read them.

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "You cant read them, you have to be a subscriber to read them."

I've left positive reps. Wonder where they go.

"...Reported posts can only be viewed by subscribers to the board so you've no access to that and so can hardly call it 'gossip'."

Whatever you say and wherever you say it--so be it. Do you have a special place where you gossip about banned members?

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "[W]hat do reps have to do with being able to read reported posts and their resolution?"

I don't know where you are reading these reported posts and frankly--why you are reading them about other members.

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Maybe she finds other members interesting...Maybe you should too."

What is interesting about discussing why other members got banned?

"You tell me."

I don't enter the thread to discuss why others were banned.  Do you?

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "You brought up "banning". The title of the post is about "reporting other members"."

Are there separate threads for reported posts and banned members?

"Did you lose your medication again?"

[Are threads started for reported posts and reasons for banning members?] Is this your way of saying that you wouldn't know because you have not purchased bought a membership?

"No. Where would you get that idea?"

I would get that idea from your user id reading 'registered plus' like mine.

[I don't enter threads to discuss why others were banned. Do you?] "Why are you still talking about it then?"

Why won't you answer the question?

[Noguru quote: "Personally I think Eeset is just whining, but I could be wrong.] "She's been doing that since she got canned. It's a half step removed from the "Unfair" thread. All a big misunderstanding...yadda-yadda."

Do you discuss with other members why she "got canned"?  Lev. 19:16; Prov. 20:3; 2 Thess. 3:11, 12; 1 Tim. 5:13; 1 Pet. 4:15

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Reporting on others is childish at best. It shows a lack of maturity. It's mainly used by those who seek revenge!"

Squeaky wheel gets the oil. The one banned is called "disruptive" and those gossiping about him/her get a special place to be evil (Lev. 19:16; Psa. 15:1–3; Psa. 50:20; Prov. 11:13; Prov. 16:28; Prov. 17:9; Prov. 18:8; Prov. 20:19; Prov. 26:20–22; Ezek. 22:9; 1 Tim. 5:11, 13).

Membership has its privileges.

[Why won't you answer the question?:  I don't enter threads to discuss why others were banned. Do you?] "Didn't I?"

No, you didn't.

"Subscribers already know..."

How do subscribers already know?

"I've explained why she got canned..."

Why is it your business?  Lev. 19:16; Prov. 20:3; 2 Thess. 3:11, 12; 1 Tim. 5:13; 1 Pet. 4:15

"Like I have to tell you about that."

You don't have to tell me about it. You put others down in an attempt to elevate yourself (Ps 40:4, Ps 101:5).

Maybe you'll tell me why your signature says: " 20,000 profile page visits".

I have visited your profile page for the purpose of quoting you accurately. Did you believe I was a fan of yours?

Response to comment [from other]: "It's called 'The Woodshed', and it will only show up on the home or forum pages if you're subscribed. It's not a place where there's threads gossiping about banned members but rather where all reported posts go to along with any action taken by admin. You can't reply to reported posts as you can in the regular forums. Hopefully that is now cleared up for you..."

Busybody central (2 Thess. 3:11).

I've come across threads which were gossip about me and why I was banned from a Google search. I didn't read further because 1) I was supposed to be in a baby time-out 2) I like to stay focused and 3) it is of no interest.

Do you still think that people don't create sock puppet accounts?

[Didn't answer: I don't enter threads to discuss why others were banned. Do you?] "That's odd. Seemed like I did."

AB clarified.

[I have visited your profile page for the purpose of quoting you accurately.] "I'm a firm believer in accurate quoting."

Also, when searching in 'New Posts', it's easy to mistakenly select the member's name rather than the thread that you intended to view (especially if you have sausage fingers and are using an iPhone).

[Did you believe I was a fan?] "That you believe that's what it was about makes the whole thing that much sweeter."

You had me at "That...".

"...Now, about that signature of yours..."

My signature is awesome.

One day the elements will melt and my signature will go away (
2 Pe 3:10)--so will Satan, Inc. (TOL's heretic's list). Will AB be happy or will he run and hide? Isa 2:19, Re 6:15-16

Response to comment [from other]: [Busybody central (2 Thess. 3:11).] "How is it? As I explained to you, there isn't the option to discuss or 'gossip' in the woodshed."

Then the gossip occurred in other threads.  I've come across it on the web.

"You can only report posts that end up there and see any moderator action if taken, that's it."

That's nice. What would be nicer was if the administrators told the offender more clearly what he/she did. Nicer still--would be treating members with respect. If you ran TOL would you treat your membership as chattel or valued customers?

"As I recall you were banned for spamming up the religion forum with 15 threads on the same topic and quoting whole articles from AIG without permission..."

I spoke with AIG about what I can and cannot post.

"...You were warned before banned and chose to ignore it, so it was on your own head."

False.  Knight was clear with you all.  He was not clear with me.

"...[Y]ou accuse of it without evidence..."

Argument Ad Nauseam or Ad infinitum (Repetition). See link.

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]: [My signature is awesome. ] "Awesomely gossipy..."

No it's not. I ask the reader to examine the evidence and decide for himself if he is speaking with a deceiver (Ga 5:9, Eph 5:11).

Response to comment [from other]: "You get what you give..."

"...We are the Master's minority. If we were part of the many, there'd be something wrong with us. ~ Adrian Rogers Ex 23:2, Jn 15:18, Phil 4:8, Eph 6:12, Jas 1:20

"Your inability to see things clearly does not mean that those things are not clear to others."

"If you were not strangers of the world, the hounds would not bark at you." ~ J. Vernon McGee

"...You are more of an amusing sideline, a fleeting glimpse into a wacked out mind."

Ad hominem

"You are full of empty bluster, deceit, unsubstantiated insults to others..."

Ad hominem

"...[N]o one has to accept your claims without a thorough investigation."

Don't believe my claims (Ac 17:11). Check every word I say against the truth of scripture (2 Tim. 2:15; Jas. 1:18).

[Don't believe my claims (Ac 17:11). Check every word I say against the truth of scripture (2 Tim. 2:15; Jas. 1:18). ] "I have..."

"...You are still a deceitful liar..."

You're projecting again (2 Jn 1:9). Let the reader decide.

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]: "On one hand she claims that "readers can decide for themselves". And when they do that and disagree with her, she falls back on the "I am providing scripture as substantiation." Despite the fact that scripture does not substantiate what she assumes it does. Namely her distorted view of reality."

1 Co 2:14

"I am reader. Hello!"

You are a reader.

Better get yourself some oil (
Mt 25:3).

Response to comment [from other]: "I've decided..."

Josh 24:15

"...[A]nd I agree with nog."

Really? Jer 8:6

"...Your sig..."

Um hmm

"...[I]s testament to how deceitful you are..."

Is that right?

"...[A]nd when a poll was taken on the subject an overwhelming majority of readers agreed it was pathetic and lacking any foundation."

A travesty. Ex 23:2

A whole lot of reporting going on!
