Are You a Berean?
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "I consider myself to be a Berean. I do that because if someone tells me something about God's word, that is new to me, I will search the scriptures to see if it is right or wrong."
What about the
first part of the verse?
Now these Jews were more noble than
those in Thessalonica; they received
the word with all eagerness,
examining the Scriptures daily to
see if these things were so."
Ac 17:11
"Eagerness or maybe even [hunger] for God's word."
Yes, our
eagerness is part of what he died
for (Ferguson, John 6:33–35).
