Article gets the mystery wrong
Response to comment [from a Christian]: [Article gets the mystery wrong]
Mysteries include: Christ’s incarnation (1 Tim. 3:16), Christ’s nature (Col. 2:2), Kingdom of God (Luke 8:10), Christian Faith (1 Tim. 3:9), Indwelling Christ (Col. 1:26, 27), Union of all believers (Eph. 3:4–9), Israel’s blindness (Rom. 11:25), Lawlessness (2 Thess. 2:7), Harlot Babylon (Rev. 17:5, 7), Resurrection of saints (1 Cor. 15:51), God’s completed purpose (Rev. 10:7). "So close and yet so far. A mess, nonetheless. 2 Timothy 2:15 KJV"
You're projecting again (Eph 4:14).
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Paul is not saying that the gospel was a mystery because he was the first person to preach it, Paul is saying that the gospel is a mystery until the Holy Spirit reveals it, regardless of who preaches it."
Men have always been saved the same way--by grace through faith (Eph 2:8).
"[N]ope. Hebrews 11:7 By faith Noah..."
"By faith Noah...(Heb 11:7)...By faith Abraham...(Heb 11:8)...By faith Isaac...(Heb 11:20)...By faith Jacob...(Heb 11:21)...By faith Joseph (Heb 11:22)...By faith Moses...(Heb 11:23)...By faith Rahab (Heb 11:31)...And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith (Heb 11:32)..."
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "The mysteries kept secret since the foundation of the world were first preached by Christ Jesus, not Paul. (Matt 13:35 KJV) That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world."
It was a divinely revealed message of Jesus.
Now to him that is of power to stablish you
according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the
revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began [Rom.
16:25].
"“The mystery” means that it had not been revealed in
the Old Testament. It refers to the present age when God is taking both Jew and
Gentile and fashioning them into one body, the church." McGee, J. V. (1997).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "...[V]iew that some gifts are still operative."
Desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy (1 Co 14:1).
"...[U]nderstanding of what John the Baptist meant as to the Lamb of God."
A strange thing to say to a man (Jn
1:29).
John the Baptist is a type of Eve (e.g. God did not
have to re-breathe life into her [Ge
2:7]). Both had the Holy Spirit prior to her being
made. Oneness--a mystery.
Ge 2:7,
Eph 5:31-32
Genesis 1:26-27. Then God (Elohim) said, “Let us
make humankind (H: ha-’adham; G: ton anthropon [anthropos]) in our image (H: be
zelem-nu, G: kat’eikona [eikon]) according to our likeness (G: kath’homoiosin);
and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the
air, and over the cattle, and over all the wild animals of the earth, and over
every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” So God created humankind (H:
ha-’adham; G: ton anthropon) in [God’s] image, in the image of God (G: kat’
eikona theou) [God] created them; male and female (H: zakar we-neqebah; G: arsen
kai thelu) [God] created them." Full text:

"...[Y]ou actually got a part of that how some here perceive it."
Ro 16:25 "...[I]t refers to something hidden in former times but now made known (1 Cor. 4:1; Eph. 5:32; 6:19; Col. 1:25, 26; 2 Thess. 2:7, 8; 1 Tim. 3:9, 16). The NT’s most common mystery is that God would provide salvation for Gentiles as well as Jews (Eph. 3:3–9)." MacArthur, J., Jr. (Ed.). (1997). The MacArthur Study Bible (electronic ed., p. 1725). Nashville, TN: Word Pub.
"I was not agreeing with you, as my own understanding on that differs."
How do you see it?
"He uses the phrase "is of power to stablish you according to my gospel...One key is in the word "stablish"...This gospel that Paul preached among the Gentiles was not mere words. Its words contained power within them."
στηρίξαι (strengthen, establish in place)
Not sure what you mean by power within words. I hope
you are not a supporter of Copeland, for example--a daughter harlot
who pledges allegiance to that Great Mother Whore, Rome.
Re 17:5 I'd be standing far from
her
as she will be judged soon.
