Binders Full of Women
Response to comment [from a "Christian"]: "Well, it's really a simplistic way
of referring to Romney's problems with women. The inelegance of the statement
itself isn't the main problem, it's all the other things Romney said in that
debate (as well as elsewhere). In the same sentence as the binders, he was
talking about women coming home and having to make dinner (as if men can't/never
do this).
The binders also tell you that Romney didn't KNOW any women professionally to
appoint them to his cabinet, and this was in 2003, not 1983. He had to use the
binders of resumes to find them. And FYI he didn't send anyone to get the
binders, they were given to him (and his opponent) by a women's group.
Then of course there's Romney's (confusing) positions on abortion and
contraception. Women in binders is just convenient shorthand for his real issues
with women.
Are you easily offended in general?
"Are you able to read?"
Ad hominem
"...The comments have little to do with being offended and have everything to do with encapsulating Romney's attitudes (and policies) concerning women..."
What about resumes in binders upsets you?
...[C]learly thinks we're [women

valuable for cooking him dinner.
What's wrong with doing dishes?
Are you a disorganized, messy person?
Why are you opposed to orderly papers kept in a binder? Why are you opposed to
doing the dishes?
Response to comment [from a pagan]: "...What also worried me, like others have said is that after all those years as a CEO Romney didn't know ANY qualified women? It wasn't the comment in and of itself, so much as all the things it didn't quite say, but yet radiated from him in that comment. It's hard enough for me to see how any woman can remain a [M]ormon..."
You believe a man should have one wife
not three.
Aren't you happy that Romney didn't know more women?

Response to comment [from a Catholic] : "Those who take offense at this statement simply aren't in the recruiting or employment business..."
Some people walk around being offended
all of the time.
It's not an attractive quality.
"...By brother works for a national employment temp firm and said Romney's
comments were completely appropriate and commonly used in his field. Recruiters
and employment firms use the word, 'binders' all the time..It's trade-lingo for
men[']s or women[']s resumes. Often, it's said 'binders of resumes'. Romney
simply shortened the phrase..."
Those who were offended don't have job (Eccl 10:2).
"It's a non-issue."
Romney is a child-killing antichrist.
Of all the things to fault him for, this is not one of them (Jn
10:10).
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "[Easily offended Leftists (Eccl 10:2)] No mirrors allowed in your house, huh..."
I am not easily offended.
[Romney] "Yet he is your choice. Interesting."
I do not support Romney.
