Catholic Cardinal Denies Adam and Eve Existed
[Catholic Cardinal Denies Adam and Eve Existed
Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries] "Cardinal George Pell, head of the
Roman Catholic archdiocese of Sydney, Australia, says Adam and Eve
didn't exist. Appearing alongside atheist Richard Dawkins on the
Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Q&A program, Pell said the Bible's
account of Adam & Eve "is a very sophisticated mythology to try to
explain the evil and the suffering in the world." He said it is
impossible to say when there was a first human, referring to his belief
that man evolved from the animal kingdom. The foolish "cardinal" thus
turns the Bible into a fairy tale and makes the prophets and Jesus
Christ out to be either deceived or liars. Why would Catholics trust
their clergy for the truth concerning their salvation when they cannot
trust them for the truth concerning creation. Their foolish error is
soundly rebuked by the authority of God's Word. Adam is mentioned by
name 31 times in the Bible. He is treated as an historical man by the
author of Luke (Luke
3:38), Paul (Rom.
5:14;
1 Cor. 1:15:22,
45;
1 Tim. 2:13-14),
and Jude (Jude
14). In
Matthew 19:4-5,
Jesus quoted
Genesis 1:27 and
Genesis 2:24 and
stated unequivocally that God created the first man and woman."

Response to comment [from other]: "And this surprises anyone, how?"
No surprise. All authority comes from God and his
word.
The Roman Catholic religion has nothing to do with Christianity (Col
2:16-23).
The are all about being seen by men (Mt
23:5).
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "Gotta love 'em. Their love of Catholicism, it just warms my heart."
It is loving to tell the truth (Ac 20:20).
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "Which explains why you presented this lie here: Quote [from text Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries]: 'Cardinal George Pell, head of the Roman Catholic archdiocese of Sydney, Australia, says Adam and Eve didn't exist....'"
Proof please.
"Shame on you."
You do not have a biblical worldview.

"It's significant that Serpent felt the need to deceive to make her point. Matthew 7:16... He was talking about Serpent."
I think he was talking about people like this:

"Mt
7:16 You will know them by their
fruits. See note on 3:8. False doctrine cannot restrain the flesh, so
false prophets manifest wickedness. Cf.
2 Pet. 2:12–22."

Mt 7:16.
"Mt
3:8 Repentance itself is not a work,
but works are its inevitable fruit. Repentance and faith are
inextricably linked in Scripture. Repentance means turning from one’s
sin, and faith is turning to God (cf.
1 Thess. 1:9).
They are like opposite sides of the same coin. That is why both are
linked to conversion (Mark
1:15;
Acts 3:19;
20:21). Note that
the works John demanded to see were “fruits” of repentance. But
repentance itself is no more a “work” than faith is (see note on
2 Tim. 2:25)."
