Christianity is a Religion of Liberalism

Response to comment [from other]:  "The Bible tells us to love and serve our neighbors and not to judge our neighbors, but I see so-called Christians who contradict this teaching everyday...To be a Christian is to serve others. The capitalist system is one where one serves him/herself and steals from others. This is inherently un-Christian. Right wing so-called Christians subscribe to a bankrupt theology, one which has been co-opted by cultural imperialists...We can struggle for social justice in this world."

I do not agree that our capitalist system is wrong.  Any system would work if men honored God.  Though you are a left-winger and I am a right-winger, I think that we can agree that a struggle for social justice is important--but not by stealing from others.

Do you also believe that we should struggle to protect the unborn?  We are to care for the "least of these".  Where would you say you get your morals from?  Your heart?  The Bible?  I trust the latter.

"Capitalism does work, but disproportionately for those at the top."

Equality is a European value.  Liberty is an American value.  The French Revolution was over equality, for example.  The founders of our nation fought for liberty from tyranny and oppression.

"The rich man who lives in a mansion and sips lemonade next to a pool all day doesn't exist in a vacuum. Say he owns a chain of department stores; it is all the employees who work overtime for minimum wage who are supporting him."

There is nothing wrong with being rich.  It should inspire others to succeed (Pr 23:4).

Condition of [poor], often results from
a.     Sloth. Pr 20:13.
b.     Bad company. Pr 28:19.
c.     Drunkenness and gluttony. Pr 23:21.

"[The rich] exploit...people by living a life of luxury off of their backs."

That is often true.  The rich will be judged if they are bad stewards of their money.

They who possess, should
a.     Ascribe them to God. 1Ch 29:12.
b.     Not trust in them. Job 31:24; 1Ti 6:17.
c.     Not set the heart on them. Ps 62:10.
d.     Not boast of obtaining them. De 8:17.
e.     Not glory in them. Jer 9:23.
f.     Not hoard them up. Mt 6:19.
g.     Devote them to God’s service. 1Ch 29:3; Mr 12:42-44.
h.     Give of them to the poor. Mt 19:21; 1Jo 3:17.
i.     Use them in promoting the salvation of others. Lu 16:9.
j.     Be liberal in all things. 1Ti 6:18.
k.     Esteem it a privilege to be allowed to give. 1Ch 29:14.
l.     Not to be high-minded. 1Ti 6:17.
m.     When converted, rejoice in being humbled. Jas 1:9,10.

"I don't want this thread to focus on abortion, but I will answer your question anyway. I think a pregnant woman's interests and welfare supersede those of the unborn..."

Thank you for answering the question.  Your view is typical of the left.  If your ethics were biblically based you would side with the clear teachings of scripture:  (Pr 8:36, Pr 31:8, Ps 139, Ps 51, Lk 2:5 (a baby not a blob of tissue).  Your view is damnable.

"The Bible contains a spiritual, allegorical message..."

Leftists tend to follow their heart (Jer 17:9).
