Is Obama Disarming America?
"Washington — President Obama said Monday that he was revamping American nuclear strategy to substantially narrow the conditions under which the United States would use nuclear weapons..." Full text: Obama Limits When U.S. Would Use Nuclear Arms
When liberals are in power (Prov 29:2), they sure spread misery quickly (Mt 24:22).
Response to comment [from a "Christian"]: [Mocking] "Obama is going to take away all our weapons so that we can be attacked by Russia and Muslims. Ya know, because he's a Muslim himself. He hates American. And freedom."
"It is into this land, a territorially
expanded Israel that the multinational military hordes and nations
of origin of the Gog/Magog alliance will be brought to their
destruction through chach lechiy, hooks placed into the jaws of
these enemies by God.
I am compelled to make a specific note at this point that there is
not just one hook or one jaw, but plural "hooks" and "jaws." There
are more than one hook and more than one jaw, or many hooks and many
jaws. Secondly, the "hook" is not necessarily a "fish hook" as we
might imagine. The Hebrew word is chach can mean a ring, like a nose
ring as found Ezekiel Ch 29:4, or a bracelet, and both of which were
run through the nose of wild animals in order to tame them. Often in
Old Testament times a rope was attached to the ring or the bracelet
to lead the animal to where the trainer wanted it to go. The next
Hebrew word to note is lechiy which is a reference to the cheek of a
man, or the jawbone of an animal.
Read and compare Ezekiel's use of this word with the text found in
Isaiah 37:29. The purposes are literally identical, to "turn thee
back". Therefore, the "hook" is a metaphor which represents the
vehicle of the judgment that God has declared upon ALL of the
nations of the Gog/Magog confederation..." Full

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "So nuking people is good..."
Yes, that was my point all along. Fighting with sticks and stones is the more preferred method.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Maybe rather than narrow them, he should substantially widen the conditions under which the United States would use nuclear weapons."
It's my understanding that even if we are attacked with chemical weapons, we cannot retaliate with nuclear weapons.
"Pres. Obama’s new nuclear policy, changing what has been an extremely effective deterrent in protecting and defending our country for more than 50 years, is thrilling Code Pink, pro-terrorist, and anti-nuclear groups — and disturbing everyone else (except Obama supporters, who blindly support anything The One does, even those policies they know nothing about)...

Response to comment [from an atheist]: "I think it's that whole "nuclear war = Armageddon" wish-fulfillment fantasy thing..."
Your biblical illiteracy is showing again.
"Well, that is your fondest wish, is it not? For Jesus to return, curbstomp T3h D3bil™ and all his evil human minions, and to dry every tear you've ever wept (and you've apparently wept an awful lot of them...), and then end the world?"
No, this is a common misconception (believed by many Jews by the way). The heart of God is to save all people (2 Pe 3:9).
See:
Believers want what God wants. Although we want him to return (Re 22:20), we realize that he is patient for a reason. Maybe you are the big hold up?
Response to comment [from a Christian]: [What is appropriate retaliation for a significant attack on America?] "One word: Exterminate!"
How biblical of you (Num. 31:7–17; Deut. 2:33, 34; 3:6; 20:13–18; Josh. 6:21, 24; 8:24, 25; 10:2–40; 11:11–23; 1 Sam. 15:3–9; 27:8–11).
Our Commander in Chief, himself, is ungodly (Prov 29:2). We may be in a period of judgment of our own (Ex. 23:24; Lev. 26:17, 31–39; Deut. 28:25–68; 32:30; Judg. 2:14; 2 Kin. 15:37; 1 Chr. 5:22, 26; 21:12; 2 Chr. 12:1–12; 15:6; 24:23, 24; 33:11; 36; Job 19:29; Psa. 44:9–16; 60:1–3; 105:25; Isa. 5:1–8, 25–30; 9:8–12; 13:3, 4, 9; 19:2; 34:2–6; 43:28; 45:7; Jer. 12:7, 12; 46:15–17, 21; 47:6, 7; 48:10; 49:5; 50:25; Ezek. 23:22–25; Amos 3:6; 4:11; Zeph. 1:7–18; Zech. 8:10; 14:2). Can we claim God's blessing while we ask him to leave?
Response to comment [from an atheist]: "Somebody says "I surrender!" to me and I hear it as "Please pound me into hash!"
Sometimes that's necessary:
"In case you haven't noticed, I don't bother with claiming blessings. I'm the guy who, when offered a hand in fellowship, snarls and swats that hand away."
You've got an unclaimed inheritance. "[T]he riches are there, it's only a matter of appropriation..." The Fullness of God, Part 2 Ephesians 3:16 http://www.gty.org/Resources/Sermons/1916
