Enyart brand Open Theism
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "I was told that Bob Enyart believes (as an open theist) that God chooses not to know the future..."
God cannot know what does not yet exist.
God can choose not to dwell on a thing (e.g. toilets flushing all over the
world).
"Does that mean the future is knowable as a certain future..."
God has a plan which will accomplished. The plan may
be accomplished in a variety of ways. In this way the future is knowable.
You can program your GPS in a variety of ways to get to your destination.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Could God not know the future? No."
Enyart uses the example of a boogie man. How many hairs
are on the boogie man's head? There is no boogie man!
We are make in God's image. Recently a TOL member posted a
thread claiming he didn't want to be part of eternity, yada, yada, yada...We
don't have that option. We were created in God's image and likeness to live
somewhere forever (Ge
1:26;
Jas 3:9).
Aren't you glad that you were not made a mollusk?
