Evidence For and Against: Same Love
Response to comment [from a Christian]:
"Of course two people of the same sex can love
each other. It becomes wrong the moment that love becomes sexualised. It
matters not however much two people of the same sex love each other, sexual
activity between them is always sinful.
You ask us to consider this question without thinking of the moral
implications. Yet the two are intrinsically linked, they are inseperable.
What God says about homosexual activity overrides all consideration of how
much or in what manner two people of the same sex love each other."
"I think this is a ridiculous position in light of Matthew 5:27-28. Are you not clinging to the Old Testament instead of the words of Jesus?"
We study the entirety of scripture.

P16 Grace to You] "...In
Colossians 1:25-26,
Paul says, "I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed
on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the
word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and
generations; but has now been manifested to His saints ." That mystery is the
New Testament revelation. In
Ephesians 3:3-5,
Paul describes himself as an apostle of that mystery. The New Testament was the
major thrust of his ministry. He used the Old Testament to illustrate,
elucidate, and support the New.
The New Testament embodies and engulfs all that was in the Old Testament. It
summarizes the content of the Old Testament, and leads us into the fullness of
God's revelation to mankind. So you must spend more time studying the New
Testament because it explains the Old Testament..." Full text:
