A slender Australian lizard, called a Lerista skink, evolved from being five-fingered to legless in just 3.6 million years, a new genetic study claims. The study compared the genes of various species, from five-fingered to legless, and made these conclusions based on assumed rates of genetic mutations.

Livescience.com calls this “evolution in action,” but in fact, the loss of fingers is not the kind of change that evolution requires. Instead, this appears to be an exciting example of variation within God’s original created kinds.
