Really, this has little to do with anyone’s opinion. It is God’s Word that we defend—we are simply messengers.

First, where is all this alleged proof that has proven our opinion “false time and time again”? It certainly doesn’t suffice to throw out generalities and assume your point is made.
Second, for you to express your opinion as fact shows that you believe that your opinion is the ultimate authority over all. What human can say that they can sit in judgment over God and His Word?
This is the root of humanism (autonomous man can determine truth) and is the same lie that Satan (who influenced the Serpent) used on the Woman in the Garden of Eden. Satan questioned the Word of God when he said: “Has God indeed said . . . .” (Genesis 3:1). He tried to get the Woman (later named Eve) to turn from the position of God determining what is good and what is truth to the position of determining her own “good” and “truth” (that God had lied about her dying if she ate the fruit, and that He was withholding something good from her). The Woman viewed her own desires of the fruit (Genesis 1:6) over what God plainly said (Genesis 2:17) and ate. Adam then ate the fruit as well (Genesis 3:6). Adam and Eve both determined that they could sit in judgment over what God had said; hence they used autonomous human reasoning as an authority over God. And what happened? Exactly what God said would happen—the punishment for sin was death. They found out the hard way that what God said was the truth after all. Yet still today, far too often people follow after the same lie that they can determine truth over God (who is the truth and knows it better than all).
Biblical creationists believe that the Bible's account of history is true because it is the Word of God. They use this understanding of history to offer a reasonable interpretation of the same evidence that evolutionists have (visit our Get Answers section with an open mind to learn about some of these interpretations by topic). Apparently you believe this is wrong and evolutionists’ interpretations are right. If humans can decide truth based on evidence that has to be interpreted, which one is correct? It only makes sense for there to be an absolute source of truth, and this is something that is not possible in a purely naturalistic universe. Truth is truth no matter what opinion may be. The Bible claims to be the inspired Word of God, and that is either true or not. I believe that it is what it says it is.

It is easy to claim that the Bible is not true, but even after hundreds of years of trying, critics have been completely unsuccessful in undermining its historicity and prophecy. But consider this last statement of yours for a moment: it is sitting in judgment of what can be used and what can’t. Do you have the authority to decide what can and cannot be used as admissible evidence? Again this is trying to impose the false religion of humanism on others. To accept that worldview, one must have faith, too, in a professor or textbook—or yet another secondhand source and that secondhand source’s interpretation. After all, not a single person was alive to see the supposed evolution of life on earth.
Consider for a moment if one who committed murder was sitting in court and the prosecution has a confession signed by the defendant (murderer) which says that he committed the murder. How would the judge react if the defense said that document cannot be used? Would the judge simply throw it out? Would the prosecution simply say okay let’s not use it? Absolutely not, it would be admitted and used by the prosecution.
The Bible can and will be used even if some don’t want it to be used. The Bible teaches that you, like all others (including myself) are sinners and have committed “high treason” against the Creator of the universe. By all rights, we are sentenced to death—in fact, we have all willingly chosen it over obedience.
In this Christmas season it is good be reminded of the reason Christ came into the world: to die. Let me explain: this was necessitated by man’s rebellions and sin against God. God righteously acted and sentenced man to death, which was the stated punishment for sin (Genesis 2:17, Genesis 3:19). By stepping into history through a miraculous virgin birth, having a miraculous sinless life, performing numerous miraculous signs and wonders, Jesus took a miraculous death that was once for all (Hebrews 7:27), bore the wrath of God on his shoulders when He became sin for us (2 Corinthians 5:21), and died. A loving God came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10) who were condemned (John 3:17–19) and dead (Ephesians 2:1) already. But the great news is that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead miraculously. By repenting of our sins and believing on Jesus Christ, we can be saved (John 3:16) and restored to a right (and wonderful!) relationship with our Creator that was lost in the Garden of Eden.
I want to encourage you this Christmas season, when many read the early chapters of Matthew or Luke, to also read Genesis 3 (the entrance of sin and death) and John 3 (where Jesus is speaking to Nicodemus about salvation from sin and death).
Consider the road that you are on. If the Bible truly is the Word of God as it claims to be, are you where you need to be in your relationship with God? I pray that you will consider that over the next few weeks.
