Forgiveness can be granted upon ignorance, according to the scriptures

There were also two others, criminals, led with Him to be put to death. And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.” (Luke 23:32-34)...

If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him (Lk 17:3).

...[I]f you don't [forgive] then your father in heaven will not forgive you either...Matt 6:14-15

God does not forgive men before they repent (Acts 2:37, 38).

Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do. (Luke 23:32-34).  This most absurd prayer of Jesus isn't about forgiving the criminals.  Jesus is asking the Father to make exceptions to His will of salvation by faith alone...

Men have always been saved the same way--by grace through faith (Eph 2:8).  Do you think those around knew that they were putting God's preeminent Son to death?

[Men have always been saved the same way--by grace through faith (Eph 2:8).] Luke is preaching a different gospel.

You think there's another way to be saved? Jn 10:1

You will be blessed if you understood that what Luke wrote is absolute nonsense.

You don't think Dr. Luke's writings should be in the canon of scripture?

Pray about what I wrote, as you don't understand.

It's a yes or no question. :chz4brnz: Should the writings of Dr. Luke be included in scripture? Deut 4:2, Ps 19:7, Col. 1:25–-27

[God does not forgive men before they repent (Acts 2:37, 38).] Bro if Jesus paid for your sins when he died on the cross...then God has already forgiven us before repentance...

Forgiveness is available to all (Jn 3:16). You must appropriate the free gift (Acts 16:30–-34).

...[T]he household doesn't need to appropriate the free gift.

You aren't saved by your parents. You come on your own if you come at all (Mt 7:14 NHEB).

...So they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved, you and your household (Ac 16:31).

If the household believes, they will be saved too. Each comes on his own.
