Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

[Bill introduced to regulate men's reproductive health: Part of a trend, she likens the bill to men legislating ‘a woman’s womb.’ By Jackie Borchardt] "Columbus--Before getting a prescription for Viagra or other erectile dysfunction drugs, men would have to see a sex therapist, receive a cardiac stress test and get a notarized affidavit signed by a sexual partner affirming impotency, if state Sen. Nina Turner has her way.

The Cleveland Democrat introduced Senate Bill 307 this week.

A critic of efforts to restrict abortion and contraception for women, Turner says she is concerned about men’s reproductive health. Turner’s bill joins a trend of female lawmakers submitting bills regulating men’s health..." Full text:

They are very upset about not being used for sexual sin.

Fornication: comes from evil heart (
Matt. 15:19), sins against the body (1 Cor. 6:18), excludes from God’s kingdom (1 Cor. 6:9), disrupts Christian fellowship (1 Cor. 5:9–11).

Back When - Tim McGraw

Who but Rick Santorum talks about women and their birth control? Christians do not want children murdered in the womb with abortifacients (Pr 8:36).

See:

What does the Bible say about family planning? Should Christians use birth control (birth control)? What about using a condom / condoms, diaphragm ...

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "The problem with your post sd is that you seem to think that the vast majority of women and men using contraception are married.

They're not.

Santorum knows the following, but the lying left-wing media won't admit that it's true:

"As I have mentioned, today's situation arises because our society is becoming increasingly pagan. God and his laws have to a large extent been rejected. However, the explosive increase in promiscuity over the last few decades is temporally related to the availability of reliable methods of contraception - and I believe this is no coincidence. The knowledge that an act of intercourse could result in an unwanted pregnancy must have a restraining influence. Reliable contraception removes this restraint.

It's about sexual sin (Mt 15:19, 1 Co 5:9-11, 6:18, 6:9). Santorum should not have been pulled into the issue because his stance on birth control cannot be supported by scripture. Like a "good" Catholic (Ro 3:12), he believes all that he is told by his apostate church (Rev. 3:14–22).

Obviously, abortifacients should be illegal (
Ex 20:13, Pr 8:36).

What does the Bible say about permanent forms of birth control, i.e. a tubal ligation or vasectomy? Is birth control honoring to God?

Response to comment [from other]: "If I'm not mistaken, Viagra is many times used for sex outside of wedlock..."

People commit adultery (Ex 20:14, Pr 6:32-33, Pr 5:3-5).

"...[C]ontraception is often used for married couples (even Catholic ones).  In fact 72 percent of married Catholic women use some form of unnatural birth control..."

That's correct. Most Catholic disregard the teachings of their church in this area. They get testy when you bring this us. Ever notice: Bill Bennett, Laura Ingraham or Sean Hannity move quickly past this fact? Catholics tend to believe they can be good enough to get to heaven (Ro 3:12). Like all religions of the world, they are work-based. Christianity is faith-based.

"...My question is, if any employer can reject covering contraception due to religious affiliation, could a Christian Scientist refuse all health care?"

The government should not be involved in health care (Jn 8:36, Jn 10:10).

"Do you as a Christian back a Christian Scientist letting their child die of appendicitis or Diabetes? I hope you do, if you really believe in religious freedom..."

Christian Scientists aren't Christians and they aren't scientists.

The unregenerate cannot understand this. The see suffering as an intrusion to this life--that's all they have; so when the suffer, their attitude is "all is lost". The Christian lives for eternal life.

"Believing and enforcing can be two different things."

You believe that chemical weapons (e.g. abortifacients) used for the purposes of killing children should remain legal? Pr 8:36

"Try to wisely pick your battles sd; you haven't done so with this one. http://www.suntimes.com/news/othervi...h-control.html"

I think it's wise to save children. Do you think God will bless a nations that murders it's own children? Lev. 18:26–28, Gen. 15:14.

If Rick Santorum would like to lead the country, perhaps he should look into these issues more thoughtfully. Take a closer look at his record at ProLifeProfiles.com.

Rick Santorum

[You believe that chemical weapons (e.g. abortifacients) used for the purposes of killing children should remain legal? Pr 8:36] "You're defeating your own argument here sd."

Is that a "yes," "no," or "I don't give a damn because I'm here to protect sexual sin."?

"Try to wisely pick your battles sd; you haven't done so with this one. http://www.suntimes.com/news/othervi...h-control.html"

Are you going patricius79 on me?

Argument Ad Nauseam or Ad infinitum (Repetition).

I think it is wise to choose a conservative who will protect children. Rick Santorum is not a conservative.

"Santorum, unlike other pro life candidates, addresses the whole issue..."

Yet he won't do a thing about it.  "People hate God--or ignore God which is pretty much the same thing." ~ Bob Enyart

"Quit looking at this issue from a simplistic standpoint, you're smarter than that sd."

We don't need smarter people.  We need better people (1 Co 13:2, Ps 119:112; Ro 6:17, 1 Ki 8:61; Ps 101:2).  This is an issue of the heart.  When I pull the voting lever, it will be with pure hands (Ps 24:4; Mt 5:8) and clean heart (Ps 73:1).

[Is that a "yes," "no," or "I don't give a damn because I'm here to protect sexual sin."?] "Try to get over your blinding hatred of Catholicism so that you can attempt to see the issue in a somewhat unbiased light."

I voted for a Catholic last go around, Alan Keyes. Did you vote for John McCain? Ever why they keep sending us liberals?

I don't hate Catholics. I hate lies and deceit (
Ga 1:6-8, Mt 15:9).

"Truth is hate to those who hate the truth." ~ Bob Enyart

"You won't be pulling any lever sd. You'll be writing someone in."

It's probably electronic.  I am waiting for a conservative.

"Now go memorize some more Bible verses and let us who actually follow the worldly scene fight the culture war."

Why do you have a sword in your avatar?  Who are you fighting for?  Obeying God is more important than who becomes your next President (De 13:4).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "...[W]hat are our choices?"

They don't look so hot right now.  We'll have to wait and see (1 Co 13:7).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Too bad that the Susan B. Anthony pro life group didn't consult with you first.  http://www.wnd.com/2012/02/santorum-...e-endorsement/"

Too bad they don't consult Colorado Right to Life. They are uncompromising (1 Cor 13:2).

"...This is your "ally" serpent dove.  No mention of God, His laws, marriage and procreation, just what amounts to a band aid over a cancer..."

I mentioned Santorum's comment prior to this thread:

“If New York doesn't want sodomy laws, if the people of New York want abortion, fine. I mean, I wouldn't agree with it, but that's their right. But I don't agree with the Supreme Court coming in.” ~ Rick Santorum

You participated in that thread. Do you give him a pass on this statement, too?

Homosexuality is: forbidden (
Lev. 18:22), considered an abomination (1 Kin. 14:24), and unclean (Rom. 1:24, 26, 27).

Response to comment [from other]: "Freedom of and freedom from religion is a scary concept for individuals such as yourself (and according to you, Rick Santorum). Guess you will just have to get over it....But when are you going to serpent dove?"

Cookie!

God gave one religion to the world--Judaism. Serpent Dove--not a Jew.

[Developing a Doctrinal Framework for discernment by Dave Jenkins]

"A high view of God’s Word

Crucial to developing biblical discernment is having a high view of Scripture. After all Scriptures constitutes God’s written revelation to man. Without them, we would know nothing about God’s specific desires for us or about His plan of salvation. We would be unable to please Him, to know Him, or to follow Him- being destined instead to spiritual ignorance, decay and death. Yet God, in His mercy, revealed Himself to us in this one book we call the Bible.

For this reason, God’s Word to the Christian should be like bread to the hungry man (
Matthew 4:4) or like water to the thirsty deer (Psalm 42:1). By keeping its commands, we keep ourselves pure (Psalm 119:9). By following its guidance, we have a light for our paths (Psalm 119:105). By meditating on it, we find blessing and joy (Psalm 1:1-2). By wrestling with the Scriptures, we find our own lives being changed and sanctified (Hebrews 4:12). It is our perfect guide and our ultimate authority (Psalm 19:7-11- because it is the very Word of God..." Full text: Developing a Doctrinal Framework for discernment
