I love you, but I hate your church!
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: [Bybee quote: "It takes a lot of time and energy to hate that much."]
[Sozo quote: No
kidding. Read Psalms and Proverbs. Hate is not bad thing. It's what you
hate and why you hate it, that is important.
Psalm 26:5
I have hated the congregation of evil doers; and will not sit with the wicked.
Psalm 139:21-22
Do not I hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not I grieved with those that
rise up against thee? I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine
enemies.
Proverbs 8:13
The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverted mouth, I hate.
Jude 1:23
And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment
spotted by the flesh."]
"So true! And the object of that hate. . . the Body of Christ! Amazing, really."
If you were in the body you would not be rejected like a
disease. Christians have: unity of mind (1
Pet. 3:8), unity of spirit (Ps.
133:1–3), a unified faith (Eph.
4:4–6), fellowship (Acts
2:42–47), and concern (1
Cor. 12:25,
26).
"Truth is hate to those who hate the truth." ~ Bob Enyart
I dare you to walk into your church (Rev.
3:14–22)
with Christian tracts and say things like: Did you know we are saved by grace
through faith? It is not of ourselves but a gift from God not of works lest
anyone should boast.
Eph 2:8-9. Did you know
that we are saved by grace alone (Eph
2:8-9), through faith alone (Eph
1:13;
2 Ti 1:10), in Christ
alone (Isa
45:21,22;
59:16;
Ac 4:12)? Do you believe
this (Ro
3:23,
5:8,
6:23,
10:9,
10:13)
or deny this?
Jude 1:11
