Is Sarah Palin a Feminazi?

[Sarah Palin Hardcore Feminist with No Christian/Biblical View of What God Says is the Role of Moms/Wives by John Lofton] "Sarah Palin's assertion that the issue of whether moms with small children should or should not work outside the home is a "petty, little, superficial, meaningless thing" reveals, with a vengeance, that she is a hard-core feminist, with no Christian/Biblical view whatsoever of what a wife/mom ought to be. Her referring to those who believe moms should work in the home to raise their own children as 'Neanderthals' is a slap in the face to millions of moms struggling to do this in obedience to God and His Word."

Palin made her remarks in an interview on Fox News, November 2, 2010. The entire interview can be seen

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "Why did Sarah Palin run to head the PTA? Where were the worthy men? Why did she run for mayor of Wasilla? Where were the worthy men? How did she beat an incumbent governor in the primary and go on to win the governorship? Where were the worthy men in this long election process? It seems to me that Sarah Palin got fed up and decided to do something about what was happening to her children’s school, her city, and her state. Sarah Palin’s candidacy is an indictment on the many men who have compromised their principles." http://americanvision.org/1314/should-sarah-palin-be-politics/

I do not necessarily agree with Lofton (the author) on this point but I do agree with J. Vernon McGee: “It’s an evidence of decline, however, when women come into positions of authority. It’s not a reflection on womanhood, but the reflection is on manhood when womanhood takes the lead. It’s actually a sign of weakness, the sign of a flabby age.”

And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh-naphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the Lord God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?

And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon, Sisera, the captain of Jabin’s army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.

And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go [
Jud. 4:6–8].

"If there ever was a general who was a sissy, it was Barak. He should have been out in the thick of the battle, but here he is hiding behind a woman’s skirt. Barak will not go into battle unless Deborah goes along. If this prophetess went with him, he felt he would be successful in battle. No wonder God had to use a woman in that day!" McGee, J. Vernon: Thru the Bible Commentary. electronic ed. Nashville : Thomas Nelson, 1997, c1981, S. 2:52

We live in an age of dandy men.

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "SP is nauseating."

Because of her pro-abort stance?  Cozying up to Sodomites in Alaska?  Why do you dislike her?  Do you think she will have a change of heart?

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "Acts 23:5 Then said Paul, ...for it is written, Thou shalt not speak evil of the ruler of thy people."

We can respect the office without respecting the man.

"Who's the man!" ~ Captain Steven Hiller

Rom. 13:7: "It is interesting that he [the apostle Paul] wrote this at a time when Nero was on the throne in Rome, and Nero was a madman." McGee, J. Vernon: Thru the Bible Commentary. electronic ed. Nashville : Thomas Nelson, 1997, c1981, S. 4:614

"Just listening to that interview, and that if she does believe in God (as she claims), she has very little backbone when it comes to agreeing with Him when she speaks publicly."

I didn't get the same sense--but you may be right?

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "I think Palin's remarks could easily be taken that way. Might be as simple as that."

She should probably clarify.

"...[W]hen I see a mother away from home as much as she seems to be...I can't help but get a little dubious."

I agree.  If she runs again the kids will be older but one is still in need of extra care.  Being a mom is the highest, holiest job a woman can have (Gen. 1:28).

She won't get my vote until she comes out stronger against abortion and homosexuality.

"...I don't agree men and women have the same duties to their families I don't have a problem with different standards."

I don't either--and feminazis are unattractive (Prov 31).

I hope people don't vote for her because she's a woman--we see where the feel good vote got us ( Ac 17:26).

"Palin quote: "...like whether you can or can't work outside of the home if you have small children..."

It seemed that she supported both choices. I'm not sure why the author read it as he did but thought I'd toss it out.

Also, consider: [Sarah Palin and Motherhood by Dr Laura Schlessinger] "...[W]hat kind of role model is a woman whose fifth child was recently born with a serious issue, Down Syndrome, and then goes back to the job of Governor within days of the birth?

I am haunted by the family pictures of the Palins during political photo-ops, showing the eldest daughter, now pregnant with her own child, cuddling the family’s newborn. When Mom and Dad both work full-time (no matter how many folks get involved with the children), it becomes a somewhat chaotic situation. Certainly, if a child becomes ill and is rushed to the hospital, and you’re on the hotline with both Israel and Iran as nuclear tempers are flaring, where’s your attention going to be? Where should your attention be? Well, once you put your hand on the Bible and make that oath, your attention has to be with the government of the United States of America...a stressed-out mother doesn’t have time to be a woman, a wife, and a hands-on Mommy..." full text:

Fact is, a mother's most important job is being a mother.

I'd like her to say:  I'm sorry that I thought even for a moment about killing my child.  I'm sorry that I supported homosexuals in Alaska.  I was wrong.  Then, I'd listen to whatever else she has to say.
