Koreans for Creation

What began almost 30 years ago at a seminar in South Korea has grown into an organization with hundreds of PhD members and nearly 1,000 creation events annually.

In 1980, Drs. Henry Morris and Duane Gish of the Institute for Creation Research (ICR) presented truths from Genesis to 4,000 students, professors, scientists, church leaders, and lay leaders during a four-day creation conference in Seoul. Three months later, that seminar led to the founding of the Korean Association of Creation Research (KACR).

Today, KACR has over 1,000 members, including 500 PhD scientists. Over 100 members give frequent creation presentations, and the organization hosts large creation seminars annually. Now, KACR and Answers in Genesis (AiG) are working on an agreement to help translate many of today’s best creation resources into Korean.

Perhaps KACR’s most ambitious project is a plan (already underway) to build a Korean Creation Museum near Seoul. Once the museum is completed, it will be a strategic tool to help Christians spread the creation gospel message throughout Asia.
