Landed—a Missing Link?

Paleontologists have found a fossil they tout as the missing link that connects whales (and dolphins) to land mammals.

Writing in the journal Nature,1 they describe the extinct Indohyus as a mammal the size of a raccoon. Its inner ear has a thick, bony feature that can be seen in some whales. It also has limb bones with features resembling the modern aquatic manatee.

Not all evolutionists are persuaded that Indohyus is that “missing link.” Some say it is an extinct, carnivorous mammal, not found in any evolutionary line. From a biblical view, these fossils point to a common Designer who created different kinds of animals with similar characteristics (see “Mystifying Mosaics,” p. 56).
