Mary as the New Ark of the Covenant
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "The ark of the covenant carries the manna, the bread from Heaven. Mary carries in her womb the Bread of Life..."
Bread is given by God not Mary (Ru
1:6; Mt 6:11). "Manna, of course, is a picture of the Lord Jesus Christ
[not Mary] and of the Word of God which reveals Him [not Mary] (J. Vernon McGee
[Nu 11:8])."
"The Shekinah overshadows the ark of the covenant. The Holy Spirit overshadows
Mary.
"Mary was the first one to question [Mary is not all-knowing] the Virgin Birth. She said, “How can it be?” This is still a good question. Dr. Luke quotes the angel Gabriel and gives us the answer (Lk 1:34)."
"David left the ark in the hill country of Judea for three months. Mary went to the hill country of Judea for three months to visit Elizabeth."
Three is the number of the trinity (not Mary).
The Father, The Son, the Holy Spirit make up the godhead (Mary is not a god).
God creates. Mary was created--a sinner in need of a Savior like everyone
else.
"When David saw the ark he rejoiced and said How can the ark of the Lord come to
me? Elizabeth said: Why is this granted me, that the mother of my Lord
should come to me?"
David worshipped the Lord not Mary
(Heb. 11:32, 33; Rev. 22:16). Mary worshipped the Lord not herself
(Lk 1:46).
"David danced and leapt for joy before the ark. John the Baptist leapt in
his mother's womb..."
David danced for the Lord not Mary (2 Sam. 6:13–14). John the Baptist worshiped the Lord not Mary: "Behold! The Lamb of God [not Mary] who takes away [God alone not with Mary] the sin of the world [the world including Mary]! (Jn 1:29)."
The Roman Catholic Church officially teaches that Mary is co-redeemer. This is not biblical. The great perversion of Mary as god or Mary as co-redeemer comes from the great pervert--Satan. If Mary comes between you and the Lord she has become an idol. Repent. It is wicked to worship anyone but God: "You shall have no other gods before Me." (Ex. 20:3).
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "John the Baptist leapt at the presence of Jesus Christ in the womb of Mary, not at the presence of Mary, which you seem to want attribute as my position."
I do not suggest that you believe that John the Baptist leapt at the presence of Mary. I stated: "John the Baptist worshiped the Lord not Mary: "Behold! The Lamb of God [not Mary] who takes away [God alone not with Mary] the sin of the world [the world including Mary]! (Jn 1:29)."
Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord" (Lk 1:46). Mary, like John the Baptist pointed to Jesus. Any worship to one other than: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit is idolatry (Ex 20:3).
"In that she cooperated (co=with) with the incarnation, that is correct. Mary said "Do as He tells you." That is sufficient unto the day."
Mary was a lovely woman no doubt; but not an idol to be worshipped. Mary has no power to bring a dead person back to live (co-redeemer as Roman Catholics officially teach). After the birth of Jesus, Mary's role is diminished (like that of John the Baptist) and Jesus' role is magnified.
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "Then I don't understand the point you are trying to make; you seem to be agreeing with me."
We trust in Christ (pictured in Noah's ark) not Mary (Isa 2:17-18).

Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "Is vananne.com your hierarchy for interpretation that is inerrant? You are not leaning on the Scriptures alone?"
I wrote the site. It is based on scripture alone.
Response to comment: "I trust in Christ too!"
It is all about a close, personal, intimate relationship with him.
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "John did not worship Mary and no Catholic worships Mary. However, John leapt at the sound of Mary's voice. That's what the Scriptures say. Why would the sound of Mary's voice cause John to leap in his mother's womb?"
Mary-worship is wicked idolatry: "Nothing can be added to His perfect sacrifice because there is nothing lacking in it. Yet Catholics deny this by adding the merits of Mary and other saints to the infinite merits of Christ. Amazingly, Rome condemns with anathema anyone who believes the sacrifice of Jesus is sufficient to remit the punishment for all sin (Vatican Council II, "Indulgences")..."
