PARTIALITY
— favoring one person or party more than another and thus acting in a
prejudiced or biased manner. In the Old Testament, the Hebrew people were
reminded that just as God shows no partiality, so should they show no
favoritism to the rich or poor, great or small (Lev. 19:15; Deut. 16:19; 2
Chr. 19:7). The New Testament declares that salvation is freely given to all
who believe in Jesus Christ, whether Jew or Gentile, male or female,
bondslave or free (Gal. 3:28).
