The perverted triune god with one god missing

Response to comment [from other]:  [Trinity]

The doctrine of the trinity is proved from Scripture (Mt 3:16,17; 28:19; Ro 8:9; 1Co 12:3-6; 2Co 13:14; Eph 4:4-6; 1Pe 1:2; Jude 1:20,21; Re 1:4,5).

False Teaching about the Trinity

Tri-Theism:
Modern Example: Mormonism - Jesus was a created being and the Spirit-brother of Lucifer, who became a god. Mormonism teaches that there are many gods and we too can become gods.

Modalism (also Sabellianism, Modalistic Monarchianism):
Modern Example: United Pentecostal Church - "Jesus only", there is only one God who manifests himself in three modes. God is essentially playing different roles and the assumption is that in the Old Testament he revealed himself as the Father, in the New Testament God reveals himself as Jesus, and in the church-age as Holy Spirit.

Arianism (Dynamic Monarchianism):
Modern Example: Jehovah's Witnesses - Denying the deity of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Jesus was a created being adopted by God, and the Holy Spirit is simply the power of God or a force..."  Full text:

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  [verses to support doctrine of the trinity] "...and many more."

That's the point. We could go through all of scripture. I suppose when Jesus said, "...How often I would have gathered your children together (Mt 23:37)..." He really had no power or authority to gather--just an out of body momentary thought.

Yes. Divine titles are applied to all three persons of the trinity (Ex 20:2; Joh 20:28; Ac 5:3,4).

...etc. This is willful ignorance going on here with jerzy. What else is new?

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]:  "...perverted translations or insertions."

Do you learn your theology from men giving out flowersat the airport?

The King James version is certainly reputable.  Is it the only good translation?  No.  There are other fine translations.

"It is probably wise to have access to at least two or three of the major translations KJV (King James Version), NIV (New International Version), NAS (New American Standard), NKJV (New King James Version), ESV (English Standard Version), NLT (New Living Translation), for comparison's sake. If a verse or passage in one translation is a little confusing, it can be helpful to compare it side-by-side with another version..." Hermeneutics

"You haven't found the missing "God the Holy Spirit"."

You can assert that a person does not know what apple pie tastes like.  But if that person has tasted apple pie, you no argument (Ps 34:8).

"A Christian with a witness in his heart is never at the mercy of a man with an argument in his mouth (1 Jn 5:10)." (Adrienne Rogers).

False Teaching about the Trinity

"...try to deny the doctrine of the Trinity and you'll loose your salvation, try to understand it and you'll loose your mind."  ~ Stanley Grenz

"The doctrine of the Trinity is truth for the heart. The fact that it cannot be satisfactorily explained instead of being against it, is actually in its favor; such a truth had to be revealed, no one could have imagined it." ~ A.W. Tozer
