Editor's note: Since the Gospel divides Evangelicals from Catholics, we wonder how the pope can call for unity for the purpose of missionary activity. Which Gospel does the pope want to proclaim for a clearer witness for Christ? His gospel of works-righteousness that condemns him and his clergy or the Gospel of grace that has the power to save sinners? (Gal. 1:6-9; Rom. 1:16). We can only wonder how many evangelicals will respond favorably to the call of the pope and embrace Roman Catholicism as a valid expression of Christianity. After all - what fellowship has light with darkness or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? (2 Cor. 6:14-15)."
