Pope Rejects Christ's Instructions on Prayer
[Pope Rejects
Christ's Instructions on Prayer
Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries]
"The Lord Jesus clearly taught His
followers how to pray and how not to
pray. He said, "do not use
meaningless repetition as the
Gentiles do, for they suppose that
they will be heard for their many
words" (Mat. 6:7). He also
instructed His disciples to pray to
their Holy Father in heaven. Pope
Francis rejects these instructions
and instead chooses to follow the
example of a counterfeit "Holy
Father." When he was archbishop of
Buenos Aires, he went to recite the
repetitious prayers to Mary in the
Rosary led by Pope John Paul II.
Halfway through his prayers, he
became distracted by the piety of
Pope John Paul and how he was
following the path that led to his
Heavenly Mother. Ever since then
Francis has recited the fifteen
mysteries of the Rosary every day.
