Why the compromise with the gospel of Jesus Christ?
Ro 1:16.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Wound you consider changing
your avatar? I know it does not mean much, but the one you have chosen seems to
scream out "moron"..."
Is it my hairdo?
The word "compromise" is not found in scripture.
You do not do your Roman Catholic friends any favors when you fail to clarify
that they preach: a different gospel, a different way of salvation and a
different Jesus than historical, biblical Christianity.
Roman Catholics
"...have different authorities,...believe
different gospels,...worship different Christs,...are led by different spirits and
we are on different path...to eternity.
Compare this with the unity the apostle Paul
described with those who are in one body and
one Spirit, with one hope; one Lord, one
faith, one baptism, on God and Father of all
who is over all and through all and in all
(Eph 4:4-6)...
...According to many Reformers, Satan's
crown jewel is the Roman Catholic religion. It is his most seductive and
deceptive form of counterfeit Christianity in the world. Granted, there are many
other apostate churches, but none compare in the size, power, influence and
wealth to the apostate church headquartered in Rome. The problem most Catholics
have is they have been indoctrinated from birth with the lie that they belong to
the one true Church. By believing this lie, they have no incentive to read God's
word and therefore they cannot discern truth from error. I pray you will ask God
to reveal His truth to you as you abide in His Word..."

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Come out with your implicit
assumptions."
You compromise with false teaching (Ps 26:5).
"[T]ypical hype from the 'do-it-yourself biblical interpretation crowd."
What passage of scripture do I misinterpret?
"[W]ho cares."
God cares (Gal. 1:6–8).

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]: "[L]et's get this key issue
clear. The divine nature did not take on the human nature in order to form
the divine person, Jesus Christ. The divine person fully existed prior to taking
on the human nature. Please confirm. Aner"

Confirmed. See:

You are number ten on the list.
Roman Catholics do not deny the trinity
(the
doctrine is provided in scripture [Mt 3:16,17; 28:19; Ro 8:9; 1Co 12:3-6; 2Co
13:14; Eph 4:4-6; 1Pe 1:2; Jude 1:20,21; Re 1:4,5. Torrey, R. (1995,
c1897). The new topical text book : A scriptural text book for the use of
ministers, teachers, and all Christian workers. Oak Harbor, WA: Logos research
Systems, Inc.]).
The second person of the trinity (Jehovah) took on human
form. "Jehovah" is an artificial form for the personal name of God.
Swanson, J., & Nave, O. (1994). New Nave's. Oak Harbor: Logos Research Systems.
When Jesus died, his body lay in the grave. His
divine nature never changed or ceased to exist. His humanity was something
new. He will forever be the Godman (100% God and 100% man).
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Ps 26:5 does not apply to
Catholics or Protestants who believe in the Son of God."
That depends on what you mean by "the Son of God".
"[T]ransubstantiation [for Roman Catholics is] ...the
miraculous changing of bread and wine into the living Christ, His body and
blood, soul and divinity. Each Catholic priest is said to have the power to call
Jesus down from the right hand of the Father when he elevates the wafer and
whispers the words "Hoc corpus meus est." Catholics believe as they consume the
lifeless wafer they are actually eating and drinking the living body and blood
of Jesus Christ. This is a vital and important step in their salvation and a
doctrine they must believe and accept to become a Catholic..." Full text:

Who do you think wants Jesus mocked and murdered all over again?

never could (2 Chron 6:18).

Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "...[T]he first use of the term
"Catholic Church"..."
"Ignatius is the first Christian writer to use the term
catholic for the church, and he insists on the unity of the church under the
auspices of the bishop. In his letter to the church at Smyrna he says:
'...Where the bishop is present, there let the congregation gather, just as
where Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. (8.1–8.2)...'"

Ignatius
The term Catholic means "universal". Do you believe Ignatius had the scriptures
all to himself at any one time? Do you believe by "Catholic" he meant some type
of exclusive authority given to one group of people?
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: [Do you believe
Ignatius had the scriptures all to himself at any one time?] "Pretty
close.."
The scriptures have never been possessed solely by one
sect or group nor do they belong to one sect or group. The scriptures are
for all people (2Ch 17:7-9; Ne 8:7,8).
The church is not headquartered in Rome. It is an
organic body of believers worldwide who place their trust in Jesus Christ.
No church can save. Only Jesus saves. Men are
saved the way they have always been saved--by God's grace through faith (Eph
2:8).
"Even a cursory reading of the New Testament will reveal
that the Catholic Church does not have its origin in the teachings of Jesus, or
His apostles. In the New Testament, there is no mention of the papacy, worship /
adoration of Mary (or the immaculate conception of Mary, the perpetual virginity
of Mary, the assumption of Mary, or Mary as co-redemptrix and mediatrix),
petitioning saints in Heaven for their prayers, apostolic succession, the
ordinances of the church functioning as sacraments, infant baptism, confession
of sin to a priest, purgatory, indulgences, or the equal authority of church
tradition and Scripture. So, if the origin of the Catholic Church is not in the
teachings of Jesus and His apostles, as recorded in the New Testament, what is
the true origin of the Catholic Church?
For the first 280 years of Christian history, Christianity was banned by the
Roman empire, and Christians were terribly persecuted. This changed after the
“conversion” of the Roman Emperor Constantine. Constantine “legalized”
Christianity at the Edict of Milan in A.D. 313. Later, in A.D. 325, Constantine
called together the Council of Nicea, in an attempt to unify Christianity.
Constantine envisioned Christianity as a religion that could unite the Roman
Empire, which at that time was beginning to fragment and divide. While this may
have seemed to be a positive development for the Christian church, the results
were anything but positive. Just as Constantine refused to fully embrace the
Christian faith, but continued many of his pagan beliefs and practices, so the
Christian church that Constantine promoted was a mixture of true Christianity
and Roman paganism..." Full text:
What is the origin of the Catholic Church?
"...[N]owhere in Scripture did Jesus, the apostles, or any other New Testament
writer set forth the idea of 'apostolic succession.'..." Full text:
Is apostolic succession Biblical?
"The ecclesiasticals emphasize the continuity of history
expressed by means of a specific sequential connection with Jesus and the
apostles (e.g., apostolic
succession). They
contrast the church and the world, while nonetheless struggling for and often
achieving some alliance with the political rulers and some penetration of the
general culture with Christian ecclesiastical mores. They believe that salvation
comes primarily by means of God's work through the church, notably in the
sacraments and in preaching. They value institution-building, maintenance, and
stability and seek to control change. Their biblical sources are the letters of
Paul, especially Romans. The ecclesiastical view emerged with the
appearance of bishops and ecclesiastical organization as recounted by Eusebius.
The papacy, the church councils, and the Jesuits are among those who perpetuated
this view. In the twentieth and twenty-first centuries, standard Roman
Catholics, Anglicans, Orthodox, and Lutherans exemplify this type..." Full

Do you believe that the church that existed during
Ignatius' time is the same church as today?
Over the
years many traditions have crept
into the Roman Catholic Church,
nullifying the Word of God and
His saving grace. The following
list shows a steady departure
over the years from the pure
Gospel of salvation. Each
tradition goes directly against
the truth of Scripture. Roman

Do you think it is possible for church to become
corrupted? Rev. 3:14–22 Do you think that God must remove lampstands
once in a while? Re 2:5.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "I suggested you not act with
hostility on this thread towards Catholics."
What you call hostility, I call love (Prov 27:5).
There is no reason to pussy-footing around (not that I would accuse you
of this). You are a pretty matter-of-fact type, I think.
Nevertheless, Catholics need to know the truth and they
need to respond to it (2 Cor 6:2).

of by ignorant, semi-literate..."
Elite-alert....elite-alert (Ingraham). No one understood the scriptures
until you came along, right Aner?
You have it wrong. The scriptures are clear.
The trinity is proven in the Bible (Mt 3:16,17; 28:19; Ro 8:9; 1Co 12:3-6; 2Co
13:14; Eph 4:4-6; 1Pe 1:2; Jude 1:20,21; Re 1:4,5).
You are just counting on Roman Catholics never reading
their Bible--so that you can lead this one astray. You are a wolf in
sheep's clothing (Mt 7:15). Hopefully "Pat" won't listen to you.
Add another "Sincerely" to your post. Maybe that
will sweeten your lies (Prov 20:17).
