I know that our president made a bigger deal about it ("We Do Not Consider Ourselves A Christian Nation") than he did about Easter.

John MacArthur has a good sermon on fasting. He says "...[W]hen you get your heart right and you start living a life of obedience to the word of God, then you will have a real fast. A fast that I accept because it comes out of a true heart."
