Relics/False Hope/Deceivers in the Roman Catholic Church

Raymond Arroyo, guest speaker on Laura Ingraham's radio program, taught lies--again --today, 5Nov10. Author of Messenger: The Legacy of Mattie J.T. Stepanek and Heartsongs, Jeni Stepanek was on the program. Oprah has promoted her book in the past, as well. They taught: relics heal, pray to saints, trust in your works, etc.

[A Warning to Catholics – God Hates Idolatry by Mike Gendron] "Many Roman Catholic traditions find their origin in paganism, but none as obvious as the use of statues, icons, relics, and images in worship. Historians report that statues of the Egyptian goddess Isis, with her child Horus, were renamed Mary and Jesus by pagan Rome. Today, shrines of the Black Madonna and Child are the holiest shrines in Catholic Europe. It should not surprise us that some of the titles and honor given to Mary by the Vatican such as: “Our Lady”, “Eternal Virgin” and “Madonna”, were the same titles attributed to Isis. Whether the idolatry is pagan or religious, the principle is the same. The worship and honor that is due to God alone is turned away from Him, and given to that which is not God..."

Response to comment [from a Catholic]:  "What on Earth does this have to do with Roman Catholicism? Specifics? Which historians? Which statues and when and where? It's worth a closer look, don't you think?"

The author is a Roman Catholic. She said that she put a relic on her son's trachea for healing. Is this biblical?

"Whoever writes this tripe needs to stop trying to borrow a page from totally clueless atheists like those who produced that stupid Zeitgeist video."

Raymond Arroyo likes to advance this false teaching. I'm surprised people buy it (Gal 1:6).

By the way, he sounds a little effeminate--what else is new? Mt 3:7.

Response to comment [from other]:  "...anti catholic crusade..."

Anti-lie crusade (Eph 5:11).

See:

Three Common Errors of False Teachers

"Anti lie crusade? Great! So we can expect your signature to disappear then right? Good oh!"

A few housekeeping items:

I don't need to add Roman Catholics to my signature--everyone knows they belief a false gospel (Eph 5:11).  You are there because you keep asking the same question.  For the ease and convenience of the reader, you remain for this reason.  PB, AO, etc. name the name of Christ--yet don't believe a damn word he says.  As soon as they identify themselves as the anti-Christs that they are, I am happy to remove them.  God-haters like Graniteheart and Gerald'Bug admit who they are.  The PBs, the AOs, the KMOs do not (2 Cor 11:13).

Response to comment [from other]:  [A few housekeeping items] "A few shopping items in return..."

Evil twin--and I do mean evil.

"You ain't 'everyone'. You're a puffed up individual..."

Look Catholics (Rev. 3:14–22), the pagan loves your false teaching (2 Ti 4:3).

"...[C]opy/pasting the entire darn internet."

Do the bytes bother you? Or is it the info? You want to shut it down, don't you?

"You're a bald faced liar..."

Don't be like that, Mr. Bunny.

"...Grow up, educate yourself and stop being such a silly little troll."

Bunny. I'll sing you a lullaby to calm you down :

(Jonathon Brandmeier)

Well it's hard to believe it's happening there
Farmers walking 'round with clubs in the air
Saying, "Hey bunny, bunny come out a your hole and I'll crush your skull."
Lk 20:18

Now the rabbits say,
"Johnny, it's always been the same
We would get up in the morning
Chew on the farmers' grain
Yeah, we never worried
We never felt pain of something sticking in our head
We should'a stayed in bed."

CHORUS

Why is the snow red
In Mudd Lake, Idaho?
They're huring little rabbits again
Don't ya know
It makes the farmers' garden grow
Hoe, hoe, hoe, hoe, hoe, hoe

Well the farm boys say,
"Hey this ain't no great time
but we got the world's largest receding hare line.
The rabbits keep backing away
When we chase them every Saturday."
Oh, what's the fuss?
They can't understand
They want them rabbits to get off their land
They want to, help 'em off
They want to, give 'em aa hand yeah
Across the neck
Oh, what the heck

CHORUS

Bunny, this isn't funny
You're costing farmers money
You flunked another E.P.T.
Another pregnancy
Oh no

The more babies you make
The more bunnies will die
You've got to knock it off
I know you can try
Attack Jimmy Carter
But stop multiplying
You got Bugs Bunny crying
Please stop dying

CHORUS

"Simple facts for you SD. Kmo, PB and Alate One are Christians..."

You, an unbeliever, know this how? 1 Cor 2:14.

Response to comment [from a Catholic]:  "[D]o you preach 2 Thes 2:15, Serpentdove?"

Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle [2 Thess. 2:15].
