Pr 27:5

Response to comment [from a Catholic]: [Pr 11:13]

A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter [Prov. 11:13].

"A talebearer is one who tells something in order to hurt someone else. Sometimes the thing he is saying is true, but he still ought not to say it to others. If he knows that a brother has sinned, he ought to go to him personally and deal with him privately about it. He should not run around and tell everyone else about it." McGee, J. V. (1997). Thru the Bible commentary (electronic ed.) (
Pr 11:13). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.

Response to comment [from other]: "I know the difference between those who are truly concerned and mean well as compared to those disguise their hatred and ill will under the guise of their Christian witness."

Response to comment [from other]: "[Pr 11:13] Did you even read this before you posted? You do know you just backed up what paulos was saying, don't you?"

If you pervert and invert the word of God.

"
Pr 11:13 talebearer. This depicts someone who is a peddler in scandal, who speaks words deliberately intended to harm rather than merely unguarded speech (cf. Lev. 19:16)." The MacArthur Study Bible. 1997 (J. MacArthur, Jr., Ed.) (electronic ed.) (Pr 11:13). Nashville, TN: Word Pub.

I wouldn't bother (Mk 6:11). The God-haters are here to tell her all her heart desires (Re 22:11).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Really!! Let's have a pity party for the atheists.  These are the people who came up with evolution that wipes out God from the hearts and minds of millions from the time they step into their first science class.  I'll give a million dollars to someone who can come up with a nice way to say 'Oh by the way, Atheists are going to burn in hell'."

We look forward to the day that the dogs don't bite and the bees don't sting. God-haters will be removed from our presence (2 Thes. 1:9; Mt. 7:21–23).

"...Win or loose. Those are your two options--win or lose." ~ Randy Marsh, South Park Re 2:10

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]: "[God-haters will be removed from our presence (2 Thes. 1:9; Mt. 7:21–23).] "You ought to make sure your definition of "God-haters" is correct. Jesus told the religious zealots--the ones essentially consigning other people "hell" while they claimed they loved God--that they would perish if they didn't repent."

I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish [Luke 13:1–5].

"The victims of Pilate and the men who were killed when the tower fell were not judged of God. God does nothing in spite. But Christ was telling the religious crowd of His day that unless they repented, they would also perish.

This passage has several fine lessons for us. The first one teaches us that when some Christian has trouble beyond the average amount (and many do), we are not to interpret it to mean that he is a greater sinner than others. Trouble does not always come to a person because of his sins.

The other side of the coin is that just becoming a Christian does not automatically inoculate you against trouble. You will miss the Great Tribulation, but you will not miss the little tribulation if you are a Christian. You are going to have a little of it right down here.

Another thing we should see is that when trouble comes to someone else and not to you, it does not indicate that you are superior to that individual. Perhaps God is permitting you to see the other fellow’s trouble in order to bring you to Himself." McGee, J. V. (1991). Vol. 37: Thru the Bible commentary: The Gospels (Luke) (electronic ed.) (167–168). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.

"
Lk 13:2 worse sinners. It was the belief of many that disaster and sudden death always signified divine displeasure over particular sins (cf. Job 4:7). Those who suffered in uncommon ways were therefore assumed to be guilty of some more severe immorality (cf. John 9:2).

13:3 unless you repent. Jesus did not deny the connection between catastrophe and human evil, for all such afflictions ultimately stem from the curse of humanity’s fallenness (
Gen. 3:17–19). Furthermore, specific calamities may indeed be the fruit of certain iniquities (Prov. 24:16). But Christ challenged the people’s notion that they were morally superior to those who suffered in such catastrophes. He called all to repent, for all were in danger of sudden destruction. No one is guaranteed time to prepare for death, so now is the time for repentance for all (cf. 2 Cor. 6:2). you will all likewise perish. These words prophetically warned of the approaching judgment of Israel, which culminated in the catastrophic destruction of Jerusalem in AD 70. Thousands in Jerusalem were killed by the Romans. See note on Matt. 23:36." The MacArthur Study Bible. 1997 (J. MacArthur, Jr., Ed.) (electronic ed.) (Lk 13:2–3). Nashville, TN: Word Pub.

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]: "[Witnessing where word of God is not received] "I wouldn't bother..."

You removed the scripture from my quote. I wouldn't bother (Mk 6:11).

"We give out the word of God. What men do with it is their business." ~ J. Vernon McGee

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city [Mark 6:10–11].

"This is a serious and a solemn trip they are to take. Light creates responsibility. To reject the grace of God invited His judgment. The same is still true today." McGee, J. V. (1991). Vol. 36: Thru the Bible commentary: The Gospels (Mark) (electronic ed.) (77). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.

[Informing others about the reality of hell] "How about a better way to witness to the glory and love of a God who sent His son to suffer and die that none might perish? If you don't believe, hell shouldn't move you. It never did me..."

Move you where?

"The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as “eternal fire” (
Matthew 25:41), “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12), “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2), a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49), a place of “torment” and “fire” (Luke 16:23-24), “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place where “the smoke of torment rises forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11), and a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10)..." Response to comment [from a Satanist]: [To member] "Sounds like you're angry and bitter with yourself..."

The Satanist is displeased that you have passed from death to life (1 Jn 3:14).

Now all he can do is call you names (
