Struggling with faith
Response to comment [from a
Catholic]: "[Closing eyes and ears]
I doubt that my God would do that.
I figure God
loves everyone and gives them logic
and reason. If they use it, then God
is happy."
He has shut
their eyes so they cannot see, and
their minds so they cannot
understand (Isa 44:18).
God does love you (Jn 3:16). He
expects you to use your mind (Mk
12:30). He'll reason with you (Isa
1:18).
God wants all men to be saved but
you must respond (Ge 6:3). Today if
you hear his voice, harden not your
heart (Heb 3:15).
"I believe that God loves all and will save all (yes, even atheists)."
He will by no
means acquit the wicked (Na 1:3). If
God is not just, then God is not
good (Deut 32:4).
If you have faith, then justice will
be important to you (Heb. 10:38).
