The Deceived Argue
"Others can come on my thread and argue with me, but it[']s not me arguing."
You are arguing a point.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "When you debate, you present an argument."
Yes. We argue to plead our case. Argument is not a bad thing in and of itself. Maybe these are better words: "lest there be contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, backbitings, whisperings, conceits, tumults (2 Cor 12:20)."
Paul also had to argue his case for fair treatment: "And as they bound him with thongs, Paul said to the centurion who stood by, 'Is it lawful for you to scourge a man who is a Roman, and uncondemned?' (Ac 22:25)."

"It's easy to recognize some people who preach for their own self-gratification, instead of for the Kingdom of heaven."
Sometimes we do not respond (Pr 26:4). Sometimes we do (Pr 26:5).
Response to comment [from a Christian]: " I said I don't see arguing in any of them verses. I see disPutin g, I see disagreeing but not arguing."
Ok, fair enough. I think we pour different meanings into the word "argue". Culturally, I think that we tend to look down on this word.
"I do see the difference in many things that others don't. I know the difference between the kingdom of God and the kingdom of heaven. I know the difference between saved and salvation. I know the difference between pride and boldly speaking. I know the difference between born again Christians and wanna-bes. I know the difference between the milk understanding and the meat understanding. I know the difference between blind faith and true faith.[/QUOTE]
Those are all important topics, too. Well, blessed are the peacemakers (Matt. 5:9; Rom. 14:19). And it sounds like you are one of them (1 Pet. 3:8–13).
"The problem is those who want to argue aren't trying to make peace. [T]hey want control."
I see false teachers as attempting to control. As saints of the Lord, we are commanded to agree--but we don't (1 Pe 3:8). I think we'd better figure out who is of God and who is not.
"Now who do you say Jesus is? Is He the Son of God, or is He God?"
He is God and he is the Son of the Father (the second person of the trinity).
