The Mystery- What and Why?
Which one? Christ’s incarnation (1 Tim. 3:16), Christ’s nature (Col. 2:2), Kingdom of God (Luke 8:10), Cristian faith (1 Tim. 3:9), Indwelling Christ (Col. 1:26, 27), Union of all believers (Eph. 3:4–9), Israel’s blindness (Rom. 11:25), Lawlessness (2 Thess. 2:7), Harlot Babylon (Rev. 17:5, 7), Resurrection of saints (1 Cor. 15:51), God’s completed purpose (Rev. 10:7). [Mystery] Yer an amusing fella; ya know that?I'll pick one--marriage (Gen. 2:18–24, Matt. 19:6).
You don't want to approach a holy God to whom you
will give an account (1 Pe 4:5) having treated your spouse like garbage (Re 7:9,
Heb 10:27). You and your spouse are "heirs together of the grace of life" (1 Pe
3:7). If you're some clown who shows up: I'm
here for my grace now;
when your spouse has
already gone on to glory (2 Co 5:10).
It's
not going to work out well for you.
Fire of life + fire of life + consuming fire = grace.
Fire of life - fire of life = consuming fire (1 Jn 4:20).
Don't enter into a covenant unless you are willing to
go the distance. The denial of marriage is a sign
of the end time (Jer 16:2). Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit
before a fall (Pr 16:18).
But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this
Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the
day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep, as
others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night,
and those who get drunk are drunk at night. But let us who are of the day be
sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet the hope of
salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation through
our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Th 5:4–9).
A land of misery and darkness, where the shadow of
death, and no order, but everlasting horror dwelleth (Jb 10:22, D-RB).
Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain
who build it (Ps 127:1).
The Father of lights, with whom there is no variation
or shadow of turning (Jas 1:17).
Where are your gods that you have made for yourselves?
Let them arise if they can save you in the time of your trouble (Je 2:28).
In the morning you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were
evening!’ And at evening you shall say, ‘Oh, that it were morning!’ because of
the fear which terrifies your heart, and because of the sight which your eyes
see (Dt 28:67).
