The Passion [Of] The Christ Film
Response to
comment [from a Satanist]: "This film celebrated sadism. Passion was hideous and
beyond horrific.
The latest bombshell regarding Mel Gibson doesn't really tell us anything new,
but it does shed light on the man's anger issues, fury, and sadism. Which we
already knew, having seen this film.
Also, does anyone really think Mel doesn't have problems with Jewish folks
following his DWI bust? Every single person who defended him from charges of
anti-Semitism when Passion was released promptly spent time wiping egg from
their face.
As tremendously talented as Gibson is, he also seems to be a deeply disturbed
individual who needs a lot of professional help..."
The movie was terrible. And yes, Gibson's loosing it.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "After watching it again on Easter (my 4th time as I recall) I can understand why liberals such as Zoo22 and his atheist ally Granite hated it (and the man who made the movie with his own money): Deep down inside they hate God."
I hated the
movie. Do you believe I hate God too?
It is wrong to make an image of Jesus (Ex
20:2,3;
De 5:7). Mel Gibson is no Christian.
He's unhinged and wicked (Ga
5:19,20).
The fact that ZooAnimal and Graniteheart found this movie offensive is hopeful.
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "[T]hey obviously do not know how to deal with it..."
Watching the
terrible movie or processing the message?
"Processing...processing..." ~ Data, Star Trek
Neither ZooAnimal nor Graniteheart strike me as the type to shy away from life's
questions. Perhaps the are not as steeped in superstition and idolatry as you (1
Co 12:2).
"[S]ome of us do not know how to deal with you so they end up putting you on ignore"
That will happen. I've been on Graniteheart's ignore list--then off again--then on again.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Before I address why you hated the movie, let me explain why the God-hating Left does: They hate reality, especially when someone puts reality into pictures, video or details it in words for all to see."
Do liberals
hate other violent movies?
"Liberals see the world through rose colored glasses and hate it when someone shows the truth."
They believe
that they're good people (Ro
3:12,
23).
They believe they're right (Pr
16:25).
A liberal doesn't wake up in the morning and say "How can I be evil today?"
They're deceived (Ga
5:9). For every truth, Satan has a counterfeit
(Eph
6:12).
We have a real enemy who wants to destroy us (1
Pe 5:8). For them, it is keeping the truth from
ever reaching them. For us, it is making us believe that we cannot walk the
Christian walk (Mt
17:20).
There are two types of people--those who have the truth and those who need the
truth (Jn
8:36).
"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't
exist." ~ Keyser Soze
"This is no different with the movie The Passion of the Christ. The movie was very graphic about what Jesus went through for us, and God-haters despise that sort of thing."
I despise men
like that train wreck, Mel Gibson
,
trying to make an image of our Lord (Ge
35:2,3;
Jos 24:23;
1 Sa 7:3;
1 Ki 18:21;
2 Co 6:15,16).
We cannot enter into the crucifixion. It is something only the Father and the
Son can comprehend.
How is it that the pagan gets it. The Satanist gets it--and you don't get it.
"As far as you go serpent dove: it's obvious that the screenplay wasn't approved by your church (a couple of dirty Catholics wrote it)..."
They are dirty birdies (Mt 15:9). You're point.
"...[T]herefore it can't be Scripturally accurate, right?"
Are they ever?

And all the people that came together to that sight,
beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned [Luke
23:48].
"There was an ominous and fearful sort of atmosphere about the death of Christ.
No gospel writer describes the death of Christ in detail. It is as if the Spirit
of God pulled down the veil because the Crucifixion was too horrible to gaze
upon. There is nothing here to satisfy your curiosity. Mankind was shut out from
what happened on the cross. Just as we had to stand on the fringe at the Garden
of Gethsemane, certainly we have to stand on the fringe of what happened at the
cross. We can only look up and trust the One who is dying there for us." McGee,
J. Vernon: Thru the Bible Commentary. electronic ed. Nashville : Thomas Nelson,
1997, c1981, S. 4:355
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "Whatever happened to the massive wave of violence against Jews all over the world that this film was supposed to precipitate? All we got was one crazy drunken rant from Mel Gibson himself."
Jews make good films.
"All we got was one crazy drunken rant from Mel Gibson himself."
Suppose you were a Catholic. Suppose you were a drunkard. But I repeat myself.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: [Jews make good films.] Suppose you were a bigoted bit of hot air? Same ending.
“It's not racist if I like them." :dizzy: ~ Seinfeld
How is that bigoted? Are you a Catholic? :olinger: Do you defend their false teaching? Jude 11 :burnlib:
"...[Y]our last one here is good enough."
Proof please.
“It's not racist if I like them."
~ Seinfeld
"If I have to tell you then you won't understand when I do."
I understand that you are a Leftist (Eccl 10:2) who does not argue issues. Rather, you attack people. Maybe one day you will learn how to argue (Jn 14:6) rather than call another: sexist, intolerant, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, racist or bigoted (Prager)."
[I understand that you are a Leftist (Eccl 10:2), identifies as "more left than right"] "Nope."
"You cannot separate what you say from what you believe." ~ Michael Youssef Lk 6:45
"But that's about what I'd expect from your "understanding"."
Ad hominem. Do you believe I am unable to understand?
The first words in Laura Ingraham's book are: "They think you're stupid..."
(Eccl
10:2).
[You do not argue issues; rather, you attack people (e.g. calling others: sexist, intolerant, xenophobic, homophobic, Islamophobic, racist or bigoted (Prager).]"Nope II."
Let the reader decide.
"I'm not beyond responding to attacks or the sorts of bigoted, ignorant, knee-jerk dissembling your sort is keen on."
"Nope II" does or does not apply?
"Maybe one day you'll have a point."
Eccl 10:2, Jn 14:6
"...[Y]ou can actually support with more than a willingness to declare."
Who cares what I say? What has God said.
"And you might be narcoleptic."

["You cannot separate what you say from what you believe." ~ Michael Youssef] "...[Y]ou can't quote a thing into existence..."

"...[I]t serves the smallness of your mind or the malice of your heart..."

[What has God said? ] "A great deal, but nothing to support you or your practice."
Ad hominem. Let the reader decide.
"...[Y]our writing is another mystery."

You have
no integrity.
You attack people not issues (Pr
15:2,
Ec 10:14).
"You lose. It's logic."
Let the reader decide (Jn 14:6).
[You have no integrity.] Ad hominem
Explain why you remove scripture from my quotes (Jn 1:1, Pr 18:6).
"I attack issues and when the issue is the person, as you sometimes make yourself, I point it out."
Let the reader decide.
Response to comment [from a Christian]: "On a side note sd: I notice that I have a tendency to get banned especially after having "conversations" with Town Heretic."
They will answer to God for hindering your prophetic burden.
"I noticed that he reported you for some insignificant reason."
They do this. Silence the critic (Eccl 10:2).
"Just a word to the wise when you converse with these
liberals/Libertarians my friend, they want us silenced."
They can't win on the battlefield of ideas.
[Let the reader decide. ] "It's a simple logic problem and one you'd answer if you could, but you can't."
Response to comment [from a Christian]: [TH] "You referred to me as a "bigot" a few posts ago."
Why does this surprise you? Eccl 10:2
"I have a cousin that worked a protection detail for Dennis Prager several years ago (conservative Jews need to have protection from those "tolerant liberals" it appears), he said that Prager was a very nice man."
He seems like a nice man--too comfortable with his sinful thought life (Mt 5:28)----but nice man.
"I'm still trying to figure you out sd. Is it your hatred of Catholicism..."
Catholics need
to know the truth (Ps
119:128,
Jude 11,
Eph 2:8-9,
Ga 1:6-8,
Mt 15:9).
"[I]s it the fact that Gibson even made the movie that bothers you so?"
"Lo-oo..." (Eze 14:5) "se-er" (Ge 35:2,3; Jos 24:23; 1Sa 7:3; 1Ki 18:21; 2 Co 6:15,16).
"Do you feel that way about all movies or depictions of Jesus?"
It is wrong to
make an image of the Lord (Ex
20:2,3;
De 5:7).
Belief Is not enough (Jas
2:19). Feeling sorrow is not enough (Mt
19:22). We must turn from sin and toward God (Eze
18:30-32;
Ac 17:30). See the
parable of the prodigal son (Lk
15:11-32).
