Islam is spreading like the disease it is (
1 Tim. 1:6, 7, Eph. 4:14, 2 Pet. 2:12–19).

History:

Ishmael (technically a slave)

Isaac (God's choice)

Don't be a slave. Be free (Gal. 2:15–4:31).

Response to comment [from an atheist]:  "So The Terrorists™ really are everywhere, always lurking close at hand, sly and irresistible, just waiting for the right moment to strike."

It seems to be getting that way.

"What should be done to combat this?"

Share the gospel of Jesus Christ (Lu 2:10,11,31,32).

"Remember, if you ask someone if he is a Muslim, the Quran specifically says it's okay for him to lie to you and say that he's a Christian..."

True.  Funny "holy" book, huh?

"How can you tell if someone is lying about that?"

Christian discernment (1 John 4:1–6).

Response to comment [from other]:  "You don't spread the gospel, you spread propaganda that is more political than it is religious..."

The tattle-tale of my posting YEC material does not care for the new political threads? Satan, your daddy is the great tattle tale of them all by the way (Rev. 12:10).

A few housekeeping items:

I'm not too interested in politics anyway, believe it or not.

"...[A]ll the while quoting mined verses that really have nothing to do with your message; your 'good news'."

Truth is hate to those who hate the truth (Enyart).  Understand the bad news (Ro 3:23) to understand the good news (Prov. 15:30; 25:25).

Response to comment [from an atheist]:  [Share the gospel of Jesus Christ (Lu 2:10,11,31,32).] "How effective a method is that?"

It works (Heb. 4:12, Ps. 119:130, 1 Pet. 1:23).  J. Vernon McGee used to say, we give out the word of God.  What men do with it is their business.

[Christian discernment (1 John 4:1–6)]  "How much of this alleged "discernment" do you possess?"

Every Christian has a measure of discernment.  Gifts are for others not ourselves.  Incidentally, you get gifts, too (Psa. 136:25; 145:15, 16).

"If you met me on the street it is a certainty that you wouldn't be able to tell I'm an unbeliever."

After you opened your mouth, hopefully.  We aren't always good judges of character.  We can be deceived like anyone else (Ex. 23:1; Lev. 6:2–7; Lev. 19:11, 12, 16 Ex. 20:16. Job 13:4; Job 21:34; Job 27:4; Job 31:5, 6, 33; Job 36:4; Psa. 5:6, 9; Psa. 10:7; Psa. 12:2, 3; Psa. 28:3; Psa. 31:18; Psa. 34:13 1 Pet. 3:10. "How do I know this? Because the town I live in is full of Christians who assume I'm one of them..."

They probably assume they are Christians, too.
They will believe the lie (2 Thess 2:11).

"...and I have not been inclined to disabuse them of this notion. I've given them all the "correct" answers to their questions, and they've taken me at my word; after all, why should they doubt or test me?

I politely decline their periodic attempts at outreach, and they leave me alone."

Too bad you came here.  When Christians start praying for you (Jer 29:7), watch out.

Response to comment [from an atheist]:  "If you ever decide to pray for me, SD, I'd appreciate it if you'd PM me the date and time that you do so, as well as the [I]exact[/I] wording of your prayer."

You wouldn't like my prayers (1 Cor 5:5).  "Oh, I'll never leave Montana, brother (Paul Maclean)."  Stardate 21910.13

"Pray your absolute worst!"

Why would I do that? Our will is to be God's will (2 Pe 3:9, Jn 14:14). Do you think he is capricious? You'll always be in rebellion toward him if you don't know who he is and what he is like (Isa 65:2).

Is Tom'O right that you are female? I don't know why it matters--only if it's true I suppose you no longer remind me of that Jane Austin character. Guess which one I'm thinking of [queue the Jeopardy theme].

"I don't ascribe any properties to God."

You should.  He is:   living, personal, relational, good and loving.

"I don't like the company he [God] keeps."

Jos 1:18.  God haters http://vananne.com/serpentdove/Jos%201%2018.htm are lovelier?

"He is most assuredly NOT correct."

An odd way to tease.

"I've never read anything by Jane Austen, a situation I intend to never change."

I thought you'd be a big Jane Austen fan.
