What if Jesus Really Meant What He Said?

[What if Jesus Really Meant What He Said? Proclaiming the Gospel Ministries] "Tony Campolo and Shane Clairborne have some strange things to say in their new book, "Red Letter Revolution: What if Jesus Really Meant What He Said?" Campolo misrepresents the text of Hebrews 6:4-6 and butchers its interpretation. He said, "The writer of the book of Hebrews tells us that when we sin, we crucify Jesus anew (6:4-6). We are constantly crucifying him every time we sin. There is no passage of time with God. Like the speed of light, all of time for God is compressed into a simultaneous moment. Thus when we sin, in his eternal now, the Christ on the cross absorbs our sin into his own body and experiences the same agony as he did 2,000 years ago."
