Conservation of mass-energy
[An excerpt: The Universe Confirms the Bible by Jason
Lisle] “A very important concept in physics is the conservation of energy. This
principle states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. There are a lot of
different kinds of energy; heat, light, sound, and electricity are all forms of
energy. We can change one type of energy into another and we can move energy
from one place to another, but the total quantity of energy in the universe is
constant and cannot be changed.
There is also a conservation principle of mass. Mass is the property of an
object to resist a change in its motion. Things that possess a lot of mass are
very heavy; things with little mass are light. We can move mass from place to
place, and transform one kind of mass into another (by a chemical reaction for
example), but, just like energy, mass cannot be created nor destroyed. So both
mass and energy are conserved. In fact, Einstein was able to demonstrate that
all energy possesses an equivalent mass, and vice versa. To put it another way,
mass and energy are really the same thing manifesting in different ways. This is
the meaning of Einstein’s famous equation E=mc2. We can combine these principles
into the conservation of mass-energy. Colloquially speaking, the amount of
“stuff” in the universe is constant.
Conservation of mass-energy is exactly what we would expect on the basis of
Scripture. First, the Bible indicates that no new material can come into
existence. This is indicated in John 1:3 and Genesis 2:2. John 1:3 states that
all things were made by God, and nothing has come into existence apart from Him.
Furthermore, God ended His work of creation by the seventh day of the creation
week, according to Genesis 2:2. Since only God can bring new things into
existence from nothing, and since God ended His work of creation by the seventh
day, no new material will come into existence today.
Second, the Bible suggests that nothing will cease to exist. This is because God
is upholding all things by His sustaining power (Hebrews 1:3) and by Him all
things consist (Colossians 1:17). Neither matter nor energy will cease to exist,
because God is sustaining them, and since nothing new will come into existence,
we can conclude that the amount of material in the universe is constant. Of
course, the Bible makes room for miracles—supernatural interventions by God, but
miracles (by definition) do not conform to the laws of physics; they are
exceptions by their very nature. The universe itself obeys the law of
conservation of mass-energy…” full text: The Universe Confirms the Bible by

Response to comment [from an atheist]: "What's your point? That you have found one of the few aspects of science the bible doesn't contradict? Except when god wants to contradict it with a miracle that is... Bravo."
"The Bible is not a science book but it is scientifically accurate." ~ Adrienne Rogers

Response to comment [from an atheist]: "Why don't you just transcribe Lisle's book and be done with it, SD?"
The pictures in this book are
incredible if you love all that astronomy stuff (I do). I've met Dr. Lisle. He's
an incredibly brilliant man--yet he
looks like a boy! I shouldn't write such things online
but what are you going to do.

Response to comment [from an atheist]: [Pretty pictures astronomy book] "...[B]ut that's about all I can say about it; my senses of child-like awe and wonder were smothered in the crib long ago by my jaded cynicism."
You're precious.
They've got those glow-in-the-dark sticky stars you could put in your room?
[Green glow-in-the-dark sticky stars] "Then I'd be defacing a perfectly good ceiling. What would be the point of that?"
They've got that new stick on tape that does not damage to your walls. Only 3 easy payments of 19.95 (Ps 19:1).
"...[Y]ou're going to have to show me how that glory is declared, how that handiwork is shown...The brute fact that the universe exists is insufficient; you'll have to show me the manufacturer's mark."
"Paul says it this way in Romans 1:20, “For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse.” The heavens tell out the wisdom of God, they tell out the power of God, and they tell out, I think, something of the plan and purpose of God. From the beginning creation has been the primitive witness of God to man, His creature.
In all the creeds of the church, including the Apostles’ Creed, creation is ascribed exclusively to God the Father. But when you come to the New Testament, where there is an amplification even of the act of creation, you find that it is not exactly accurate to say that God the Father is the Maker of heaven and earth. The Trinity was involved in the creation of the earth. In fact, the word Elohim is a plural word in the Hebrew, and it speaks of the Trinity. The New Testament tells us that the Lord Jesus was the agent of creation, and the Holy Spirit came in and refurbished and revamped it: “… the spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” (Gen. 1:2). The apostle John tells of another beginning: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God….All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made” (John 1:1–3). This is the Lord Jesus Christ. Colossians 1:16, speaking about the Lord Jesus, says, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him.” The Lord Jesus was the agent in creation. The first chapter of Ephesians tells us that all the members of the Trinity were involved in our redemption: God the Father planned it, the Son paid for it, and the Holy Spirit protects it. This applies to God’s creation as well: God the Father planned this universe; the Son carried out the plan, and He is the One who redeemed it; and the Holy Spirit today is moving and brooding over this creation.
It is interesting to note that the sun is prominent and
likened to a bridegroom coming out of his chamber. When I was in Jerusalem,
every morning I could see the sun come up over the side of the Mount of Olives.
What a thrill it was to see the light breaking on Jerusalem—the walls of the
city, the high places first. It touched David’s tomb on Mount Zion, then touched
the tops of the buildings, and then moved to the temple area. It was thrilling,
and it was a picture of another bridegroom, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Sun of
Righteousness. Some day He is coming in glory to this earth, but before He
comes, He is going to take His church out of the world. He is the Bright and
Morning Star. The Bright and Morning Star always appears before the sun rises.
What a picture we have here in creation! There is nothing quite like it. This
wonderful, wonderful psalm pictures creation."

"...[Y]ou're going to have to show me how that glory is declared, how that handiwork is shown..."
From your fingerprint to the heavens above all of creation gives God glory. Why don't you? Ps 145:10; 148:5.
"By what means is that accomplished? The fact that it exists is insufficient."
I need to buy a vowel.
God's possession. Your appropriation. You need to possess your possessions (Ro 7, Rogers). Adrienne Rogers compared it to books in a library that are unread. What good are they if they are not appropriated.
[Why don't you give God glory?] "The same reason I don't give glory or praise to anyone or anything: I have no compelling reason to do so."
It's right to give God glory (Heb. 13:21). He is deserving of all praise (Re 5:12).

"You are a liar. Until you remove those lies I will call you out whenever I please. You have a responsibility to the truth of your own statements."
Call me whatever you'd like. You'll need proof to substantiate your claim. I believe you are a deceiver. Tell us why you argue like an atheist.
