Human Rights Farce at the UN

[From LauraIngraham.com blog] "...[H]uman rights farce at the UN...In an unprecedented move, the Obama administration is submitting the human rights record of the United State to the UN Human Rights Council for a "Universal Public Review" this Friday. Yes, the terrible United States, a republic that has freed hundreds of millions of people around the world, will finally have to answer for its abysmal record on human rights. Some aspects of America that are expected be highlighted are our use of torture in the War on Terror, the death penalty, our treatment of racial minorities, and, of course, Arizona's immigration law.

So who will America answer to for our repressive regime? Among the human rights all-stars on the council are: a country that murdered over 30 million of its own people (China), an oppressive communist dictatorship (Cuba), a state that has sponsored acts of terrorism (Libya), a country with zero religious tolerance (Saudi Arabia), and a country that actively uses child soldiers (Uganda). Even better, because any UN member can ask the US delegation questions, Iran now gets to question our human rights record. The advice from these nations will surely improve America.

This farcical review, which will only open up America to take pot shots from our enemies, will do nothing to help us solve our domestic problems. The fact this review was considered, never mind will be taking place, shows yet again this administration will bow to the wishes of any country, anywhere.
