Interview a Member Thread

Interview the vampire (Job 20:8).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: [Nang]

Don't forget Nangster.

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "Or serpentdove!"

I think I've been uninvited.

Rainee: "I would like to add to the requests an interview of Lon, of Barbarian, of Psalmist, of Serpent Dove, of Amiel..."
Quincy: "...A couple people I won't name on your list believe I'm evil . So I won't even bother asking them..."
link

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "The problem with being able to do something well because God gave it to you is you can't just use it on yourself."

That's true. I studied the Bible with J. Vernon McGee on "The Bible Bus" (Mt 6:33) and then began to share the word of God with others (Mk 16:15).

"As Monk the TV defective detective said about his amazing ability - it is a blessing and a curse..."

Wipe. Wipe.

[Interview] "Or maybe you thought he couldn't rise above it all?"

People can but will they?  What will they do with Jesus? Jn 14:6.

"Either way I thank you and I hope it gets moved to the interview thread."

To a lawyer's file? No thanks. We move (Jn 3:8). They collate (Isa 64:6).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "What isn't invited is spamming this thread, SD. It's here for suggestions, discussions of interviews conducted and posted in the Archive thread..."

You're a bit of a control freak. Did you start this thread?

"I just help Q with it and take care of the Archive thread."

Why? Who asked you to do this?

"This way the thread stays dedicated to the interviews."

Why have you taken it upon yourself to provide an alternate thread? Your off site thread is as disorganized as this thread. Why is it locked by the way? I've never understood why people lock their threads.

"This thread is now effectively a discussion/request thread..."

But enough about me.

"Thank you in advance for your cooperation."

"What do you think about me.

"I liked what Q was doing...then suggested a place where the interviews wouldn't get lost among the discussion--where they could be protected from spamming and become a sort of TOL record..."

I should have added your name to this post.

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "SD, just stop. There is no point in whatever it is you think you are doing..."

What do you believe I am "doing"?

Response to comment [from other]: "He is just being gracious and kind by his character to help me with it. By the fake interview you posted mocking us I can tell my original assumption that you were being facetious at best (and most likely have nothing against me) by posting in here, was correct."

I wasn't sure if you were referring to me when you stated that someone called you evil. Did I call you evil a while back?  Are you a pro-abort? Pr 8:36. Do you believe homosexuality is a-okay? 1 Kin. 14:24. Are you a humanist? 2 Pe 3:4. Refresh my memory.

A few housekeeping items:

I try to have a short memory like a hockey player.

"Now, I suggest we move on and past this. Serpent Dove, if you change your mind and want to take it serious, just post and let us know..."

A kind offer but I have already been interviewed by a charming fellow.

Response to comment [from other]: [Short memory like hockey ] "You appear to be very successful at that."

You take your hits and move on (Phil 3:14) --you slash their calves --but people change. Love hopes all things (1 Cor 13:7).

"Yeah your style is definitely like bumper cars."

Do you prefer everyone having your same style?

"No, that would take all the fun out of life."

No kidding (Da 5:20).

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "SD, why don't you take your games to another thread? This is getting irritating."

How so?

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "You appear to be antagonizing others in this particular thread without good reason."

I don't think so.  I'm asking TH a question.

"Why make accusations about people?"

Why does he close the thread?  It's odd.

"Why do (what appears to be) a mock interview?"

I answered the same questions everyone else answered.

"Quincy and Town didn't have to do any of this, but I and many others really appreciate what they are doing."

I do, too.  Quincy has done a fine job with the interviews.  I've enjoyed reading them.

"It takes time and effort. If you don't like them personally, that's fine."

I don't have anything against either one of them personally.  I wonder why a lawyer makes time for such a thing.

"Might I just suggest that you confront them about what you don't like in a thread that's more appropriate for it?"

A few housekeeping items:

I don't like threads that attack members individually.  I typically don't read them.  If I post in said thread, I usually wait for the one being attacked to respond first.

Response to comment [from other]: [How so?] "By spamming up the thread I would say."

You always call those who differ with you spammers.

"TH closes the actual interview thread in order that it's solely interviews to read which is more than fair enough."

He's a control freak--apparently with a lot of time on his hands.

"This thread is for comment on such and not irrelevant crap. Try and keep up..."

You're not a multi-tasker.  Leftists love to tell us: what, when and how we are to say what we say (Eccl 10:2). You are tolerant and open-minded -- as long as we are agreeing with you.

TOL Rules: "...and The Rest ...Discuss sports, pop culture, computers, videogames, welcome new members, wish someone a happy birthday. Or just chit chat!"

No sports. No pop culture. No video games. No welcome wagon. No chit. And certainly no chat.

Response to comment [from a Christian]: [language barrier] "If it makes no sense, I would redo it on another day, but not tonight."

TH wouldn't hear of it. You vil stick vith vhat you've vritten and you vil love it.

Response to comment [from other]: "I'm not going to facilitate SD's ongoing thoughtlessness."

I've been told not to continue along this line of conversation.

Summary:  One member stated that she had a language barrier.  She said that she would post a little something now in her interview and perhaps edit her remarks later.  TH has placed the interviews into an archive which cannot be edited.  He does not allow people to edit their comments or provide additional context for their remarks in this archive thread.  He does this

Example:

Town Heretic quote:  "Have you ever considered removing the non subscribers ability to delete posts?" link

He doesn't mind being able to modify his own posts.  Why does he want one set of rules for himself and another set of rules for others?

Response to comment [from other]: "I'd get that 'w' key fixed if I were you SD, along with other things..."

They'll probably want to edit the description for this thread: "'TOL Rules: "...and The Rest ...Discuss sports, pop culture, computers, videogames, welcome new members, wish someone a happy birthday. Or just chit chat!'"
