[State of the Epicenter: 2012 by Joel C. Rosenberg] "...Tragically, the Arab
Spring has been a catastrophic failure. All hope of the rise of free nations
with free elections and free economies and freedom of speech and worship have
been dashed. What are rising instead are dangerous Radical Islamic regimes that
will oppress millions of people and foment violence and war.
Libya
•The new leaders of Libya are Radical Islamists – members or allies of the
Muslim Brotherhood.
•They are committed to creating an Islamic republic and imposing Sharia law on
the people of Libya as part of the Islamic caliphate.
•They have a deep hatred for Israel and the United States.
•Yesterday, Islamic militants attacked the American consulate in the city of
Benghazi. They murdered U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens. They murdered three
other U.S. diplomatic staff.
•The Libyan government did precious little to defend the lives of Americans.
Egypt
•The new President of Egypt – Mohammed Morsi – is a senior leader of the Muslim
Brotherhood.
•He hates Israel, despises the United States, is committed to holy war against
all infidels, and has stated clearly he’s going to turn Egypt into an Islamic
republic under Sharia law.
•Morsi gave a speech at Cairo University in May: “The Qur’an is our
constitution, the Prophet is our leader, jihad is our path, and death in the
name of Allah is our goal.”
•Last month, Morsi became the first Egyptian leader in a generation to visit
Iran and begin rebuilding ties to the radical mullahs in Tehran.
•Yesterday, some 2,000 radical Muslim militants stormed the U.S. embassy
grounds, tore down the American flag, raised the flag of Islam.
•The Egyptian security forces did precious little to stop them.
•This is a country to which the U.S. provides $1.5 billion in foreign aid
annually.
Syria
•As of December 2011, some 3,500 Syrians had been killed in the revolution.
•Today, more than 25,000 Syrian Arabs have been killed. A number of those are
Syrian military forces. But most are civilians, many of whom have been massacred
– slaughtered, even – by the Assad regime.
•Today, there is growing concern that the Assad regime may use its stockpiles of
chemical weapons against its own people, or allow its WMD to be transferred to
terrorists groups, or lose control of its WMD and see those stockpiles fall into
the hands of Israel’s enemies.
And then there is Iran.
Iran
•In the summer of 2009, millions of Iranians turned out on the streets to
protest their wicked government and seek a peaceful, moderate democracy. Sadly,
the U.S. government did nothing to help them, and their movement was crushed.
•Meanwhile, the mullahs are on a steady march to building the Islamic Bomb. The
latest IAEA report provides more evidence that Iran is developing nuclear
warheads.
•Iran has enough enriched uranium for at least five nuclear warheads.
•Iran has doubled its uranium enrichment capacity at its most secure, hardened,
underground nuclear facility at Fordow, near the religious city of Qom, despite
all of the economic sanctions.
•The stakes are high. If the Ayatollah acquires nuclear warheads and the
high-speed ballistic missiles to deliver them, he could do in about six minutes
what it took Adolf Hitler six years to do, and that is kill six million Jews.
•Keep in mind, it’s not just Israeli Jews at risk. Israeli Arabs are at risk.
Palestinian Arabs are at risk. Jewish and Arab believers in Jesus are at risk.
•The most dangerous corridor on the planet right now is the corridor between Tel
Aviv and Tehran. Everyone who lives in this corridor is currently is grave
danger.
•That said, Iran does not seem to be taking seriously the prospect of an Israeli
preemptive strike. Indeed, many in Israel and throughout the epicenter think all
the talk of war is just bluster and “saber-rattling.”
•Like you and millions of other Christians around the world, I’m praying for the
peace of Jerusalem. And I know that we serve a prayer-hearing and
prayer-answering God, a wonder-working God.
•God has heard our prayers, and I’m grateful that an Israel-Iranian war that
seemed like it might break out any time in the past few years has not yet
happened. This is an answer to our prayers, and we should keep praying.
•But the Bible is clear: Sometimes God allows wars to happen.
•In Matthew 24, the Lord Jesus taught us that in the last days, we will see a
rise of wars, rumors of wars, revolutions, violence, and lawlessness.
•Yet He also promised that amidst all this bad news, “this gospel of the kingdom
will be preached in the whole world, as a testimony to all nations, and then the
end shall come.”
•War and revolution can create the conditions by which hearts are more ready to
hear the Gospel and receive Jesus as Messiah.
•We don’t want war. We are commanded in Scripture in Psalm 122 to pray for
peace. But sometimes God says “no.” Sometimes He allows war. What man plans for
evil, God can turn for good.
•In this context, I must report you tonight that I believe Prime Minister
Netanyahu could be just days away from ordering a full scale attack on Iran’s
nuclear facilities.
•I pray there is another way. Events can change things suddenly. Nothing is
impossible with God.
•But evidence is rapidly mounting that Israel is going to war with Iran.
•Israel’s Security Cabinet met last week for a 10-hour meeting to discuss the
latest intelligence on the Iran nuclear threat and consider Israel’s military
options. The Jerusalem Post noted that this was the first time the full Security
Cabinet has met for such an in-depth discussion of Iran in several months.
•A senior advisor to Prime Minister Netanyahu said last week: “We are entering
the most fateful 50 days Israel has faced since, perhaps, the similarly fateful
days prior to the Yom Kippur War.”
•Troubling is that relations between the U.S. and Israel are deteriorating
rapidly. Indeed, we have reached, in my view, an all-time low in this once solid
alliance.
•On Sunday, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton publicly announced the U.S. is
“not setting deadlines” for Iran to stop illegally enriching uranium in
violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions, and to stop developing nuclear
weapons.
•President Obama and his senior aides have – thus far – refused to establish
“red lines.”
•Now, we learn that the President has turned down requests by Prime Minister
Netanyahu to meet either in New York City during the opening of the U.N. General
Assembly, or in Washington. The White House said there simply wasn’t time on the
President’s busy schedule.
•The President is, however, making time to appear on “The Late Show” with David
Letterman while he’s in NYC.
•This is very disturbing behavior for an American President who says that
America “will always have Israel’s back” and claims Israel is one of America’s
“greatest allies.” The President should always make time for an ally facing the
growing threat of a nuclear holocaust. A Wall Street Journal editorial on
Wednesday morning said the White House message to Israel seems to be, “You’re on
your own, pal.”
•Netanyahu’s response: “‘The world tells Israel: ‘Wait. There’s still time.’ And
I say, ‘Wait for what? Wait until when?’ Those in the international community
who refuse to put red lines before Iran don’t have a moral right to place a red
light before Israel...” Full text:

[The Hip-Hop President: All Swag, No Cattle by Michelle Mulkin] "...I know I’m
not the only one who was flabbergasted by Obama’s bloodless Rose Garden
appearance following the planned two-part 9/11/12 jihadi attacks on the U.S.
consulate in Benghazi, Libya, which resulted in the deaths of four Americans,
including U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens.
Late as usual, the president ambled up to the podium 15 minutes behind schedule
on Wednesday morning. Teleprompter-less, he spent the majority of his fleeting
five-and-a-half-minute appearance with eyes downcast on his script.
With a grim Secretary of State Hillary Clinton looking over his shoulder, Obama
delivered a flat, obligatory tribute to the murdered Americans. And then he read
these words, drained of any iota of outrage, as if reading a local weather
forecast. Or a fifth-grade book report. Or a dinner menu:
“The United States condemns (pauses, looks down) in the strongest terms (pauses)
this outrageous and shocking attack (monotone). We’re working with the
government of Libya to secure our diplomats. I’ve also directed my
administration to increase our security at diplomatic posts around the world.”
Punctuated with noncommittal “uhs” and a pedestrian lilt, he read some more:
“And make no mistake (eyes looking down). Uh. We will work with the Libyan
government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people (eyes down,
flipping page).”
In a bland and unconvincing recitation, Obama stated perfunctorily: “No acts of
terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character or
eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.” Looking down at his script
again, he hurried along: “We will not waver in our commitment to see that
justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be
done.”
Detached, diffident, aloof and resigned, America and the world saw a eulogizer
in chief, not a commander in chief. It was as if something more important were
occupying his mind at the time..."

[Giuliani accuses officials of covering up events in Libya

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani said Thursday there was "no question"
the Obama administration was trying to cover up that terrorism was responsible
for the attack on a U.S. consulate in Libya that left the American ambassador to
that country and three others dead.
"I think there is no question that the administration was covering up from day

political criticism that the president took his eye off the ball. The president,
in his haste to make himself a tremendous hero over getting bin Laden deserves
credit, but my god, he wanted to make himself into a superhero."
The Obama administration blamed the attack on protests surrounding an anti-Islam
video, though Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Wednesday suggested a link
to an al Qaeda-affiliated group.
The administration has argued militants used protests over the video as cover to
launch a spontaneous attack, while Republicans have insisted the attack was
premeditated, given the weapons used by the
attackers..." Full text:

For if God did not spare the
angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and
delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved
for judgment; and did not spare the ancient world, but
saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of
righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the
ungodly; and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah
into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them
an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;
and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the
filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man,
dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from
day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)—
then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of
temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment
for the day of judgment, and especially those who walk
according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and
despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed.
They are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries,

For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the
lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from
those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are
slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is
brought into bondage. For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the
world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again
entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the
beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of
righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered
to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog
returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the

[Benghazi Report Part Of Cover-Up
by Dick Morris] "The Benghazi mystery boils down to one
key question: On what basis did Hillary, Susan Rice, and
the president camouflage the terrorist attack on our
consulate as an over-reaction to a film about Mohammed?
But the blue ribbon commission charged with
investigating the attack not only provides no answer to
this question, it perpetuates a cover-up by distracting
attention from the main issue to side matters.
We understand that there was a lack of security at the
Consulate. We get it that it was foolish to rely on
Libyan troops or police to protect our people. We
already know that warnings of an impending attack were
ignored. We have gathered that Ambassador Stevens might
have been more forceful in requesting security. We know
all that.
But, we don’t know on what basis the top officials in
our country pretended the attack was something it was
not and refused to acknowledge what it was — a terror
attack on the anniversary of 9/11.
All the report does is to further beg this question by
noting that the raid was never anything but a terror
attack. There was never, according to its findings, the
remotest reason to ascribe it to a civil demonstration
turned violent. But, in the middle of an election
campaign, the president, the woman who wants to be the
next president, and our UN Ambassador lied and told us
that the attack was a reaction to a film. How was the
decision made to have the president go before the United
Nations and discuss the importance of respect for one
another’s religion in the same breath as he commented on
the attack? What was the anatomy and evolution of this
lie?
The Administration’s desire to throw us off the trail
and cover-up the terror attack ranks up there with
British Prime Minister Tony Blair’s attempt to “sex up”
Saddam Hussein’s supposed ability to hit Britain with
WMDs prior to the Iraq invasion.
One wonders at the severity of Hillary Clinton’s
conveniently timed illness and her unfortunate inability
to testify. But the State Department report makes it
even more urgent that she be summoned to testify when
she recovers, even if the testimony comes after she has
left office. The offense of lying to the American people
and the world about so important an issue must be
examined and the proper blame allocated to the public
officials involved.
But, there will be a temptation on Capitol Hill to drop
the inquiry after the Hillary-less hearing. We must not
let them do so! Don’t let her off the hook!"
Benghazi Report Part Of Cover-Up
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "[Godrulz] Serpent's beating a dead herring."
We: honor his reputation, esteem his name and speak right of him.
Then they that feared the LORD
spake often one to another: and the LORD hearkened, and
heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before
him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon
his name [Mal. 3:16].
“Then they that feared the LORD spake often one to
another.” In other words, there was a little remnant who
loved God and met together, and they feared the Lord.
They spoke to one another—they were having fellowship.
“And the LORD hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” Running all through the Scripture there is this idea that God keeps books. I do not think there is an actual book up there in which He is writing. God never forgets, and He doesn’t need that book, and He doesn’t even need a computer.
This matter of the book that was written is also mentioned in the Book of Revelation, and in chapter 3 we find the suggestion that He is apt to erase a name: “Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy. He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels” (Rev. 3:4–5).
This is about as strong a language as you can get, and it is, very frankly, one of the most difficult passages in the Book of Revelation to understand. I do not think that God has a set of books that He is keeping in heaven. But the only way that you and I can understand this is through this figure of speech that He uses. I can understand it when He says that He puts down in the Book of Life the names of those who are saved. I can understand that He puts down in a book those who will receive a reward or some recognition. This makes it clear to me. But I don’t believe that God has a literal book up there—although He may have. We are also told in the last part of the Book of Revelation that when the lost are brought before the Great White Throne, the books will be opened, and there are several of them. There is also the book of those who are saved (see Rev. 20).
I would like to illustrate it in this way: To me it is more or less like the report card I used to get in school. You get a report card if you are a student; all you have to do to get a report card is to enroll. You get into the Lamb’s Book of Life by accepting Christ as your Savior, and that will never be removed. You have a report card; you are in the Lamb’s Book of Life; you’re enrolled. Now you are going to start making grades. Now He’s going to put down how you are doing with your Bible study. What grade is He giving you on that? Are you making A’s these days? Or are you failing the course? How is your life for Him? How is your service for Him? He takes note of all these things, and they are recorded.
Therefore I believe that when He says to the church of Sardis that names are removed from the Book of Life, that names are blotted out, it has to do with service because that is what He is talking about there. It has to do with the service that they render. There will be many of us who get a report card, but some are going to be a failure in the Christian life. Paul said in his Epistle to the Corinthians that our works are to be tested by fire (see 1 Cor. 3:11–15). If a man’s work is all hay and stubble and it is all consumed by fire, will he be saved? Paul says, “Yes. He’ll be saved, but so as by fire.” There are going to be a lot of people in heaven who will smell like they were bought at a fire sale—and they were—a brand plucked from the burning, if you please. They did nothing, and nothing was put on the report card.
“A book of remembrance was written before him for them that feared the LORD, and that thought upon his name.” God simply doesn’t need a book to remember things because He is the One who really has a computer mind—it’s all there. The record is of their works, their service, their love for Him—those are the things that are recorded. Salvation is free. It is by faith, never by works. After you have been saved, that is when your works really begin to count, and they become all–important. This book of remembrance is a very beautiful thing.
We find God’s “book” mentioned elsewhere in the Old Testament. In Psalm 56:8 we read, “Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?” The psalmist says, “Thou tellest my wanderings.” The Lord knows exactly where you’ve been all the time. Maybe your neighbors, your fellow church members, and your pastor don’t know—but God knows. The darkness is light to Him. He knows where you’ve been and He knows what you’ve done. “Put thou my tears into thy bottle”—I think that is a very lovely thing. My friend, that godly mother who is weeping because of a wayward child, God has put those tears into a bottle. Can you imagine that? How wonderful it is that He has taken note of them! The man who has served God but has been disappointed by how his brethren have treated him and has wept tears over it—to him God says, “I’ve put those tears in a bottle.” Finally, the psalmist says, “Are they not in thy book?” There is a book that records our lives, my friend. I have always thought that it is probably going to be sort of like a movie that He will run through for us. You will see your life from birth to death, and it will all be there. It won’t be what the preacher said about you at your funeral, about how wonderful you were and what a great church member you were. God is going to run it just like it was. I don’t want to see mine. But I guess I’ll have to take a look at it someday." McGee, J. V. (1991). Vol. 33: Thru the Bible commentary: The Prophets (Malachi) (electronic ed.) (90–93). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.

"Mt 7:6 Dogs and swine refer to people who are enemies of the gospel, as opposed
to those who are merely unbelievers. Such enemies are to be left alone (Matt.
15:14; 2 Cor. 6:14–18). One example of such a person was Herod Antipas, who
heard John the Baptist gladly (Mark 6:20) but then beheaded him (Matt. 14:1–12;
Mark 6:14–28; Luke 9:7–9). Later when Christ stood before Herod, He said nothing
(Luke 23:8, 9). In the context of this verse, Herod had become a “dog” or a
“pig.”
Mt 7:6 The connotation here is not that we should withhold our message to those
who are the outcasts of society, for Jesus Himself went to the poor sinners
among His people. Rather, the idea is that it is futile to continue to present
truth to those who have refused what they have already heard." Radmacher, E. D.,

[Krauthammer: Obama’s reluctance to use ‘jihadist,’
‘Islamist’ embarrassing Vid by Jeff Poor] "...According
to Krauthammer, the notion of Obama not using words like
“jihadist” and “Islamist” is an embarrassment and he
noted the lengths to which the president goes to avoid
using them.
“I say I don’t know what he’s thinking, but I sure know
what he’s saying and doing,” Krauthammer said. “The
lengths to which he will go to avoid telling us the
truth about the enemy is becoming comical and certainly
embarrassing. For example, he will never — forget about
use the word ‘jihadist.’ He’ll never use that — but he
refuses to use the word ‘Islamist,’ which is used
throughout the Muslim world. It’s used by journalists,
by authors, on the street, in the parliament everywhere,
in Egypt. It’s used in Lebanon. It’s used everywhere by
Muslims. And yet, Obama won’t touch it because he
refuses to use any words that might imply a connection
between radical Islam and terrorism, which as anybody
who is over the age of nine knows is the single greatest
cause of terror in the world today.”
Krauthammer gave one specific example, from a speech
Obama gave in Jerusalem during his Middle East trip back
in March.
“I’ll give you one example which is completely
overlooked by everyone,” Krauthammer said. “It was a
rather trivial one. When [Obama] was in Israel, he gave
a speech in Jerusalem. And in the middle of the speech
he talked about the rise of the Islamist parties in
Egypt and elsewhere, the [Muslim] Brotherhood. In Egypt
and etc. — what was the phrase he used? We have to be
concerned about the rise of ‘non-secular parties.’ What
a weird word to use. The word is religious parties. The
word is Islamist parties. Yet even in this trivial
throwaway line in a speech in Jerusalem he refuses to
use the obvious word.”
The reluctance to call out extremist elements pales in
comparison to the more forceful language used by leaders
in World War II, including former British Prime Minister
Winston Churchill and former President Franklin
Roosevelt, according to Krauthammer.
“It matters because if you want to mobilize the
population, if you want to give them the courage to
persist and to carry on a fight which should be a
difficult fight, it could go on for a generation,” he
said. “You have to be clear with your own people about
who the enemy is. Churchill did not speak about German
extremists. He talked about the Nazi menace. He
described it in detail. FDR didn’t speak about
extremists in Tokyo. He talked about the Japanese
imperialism and its threat to the whole region. You have
to be able to be honest with the people if you’re going
to get any support. Otherwise, you get an event here, an
event there and you say we can’t jump to any
conclusions? Within three days everybody understands
that these brothers were jihadists.”
The Washington Post columnist speculated that Obama is
hesitant to use those terms because it may be an effort
to make Islamic threats seem as if they are receding.
“I think it’s more than PR, because again, if you want
to lead a nation in a fight that takes a long time — the
drone attacks are happening off screen below the radar,”
Krauthammer explained. “It doesn’t affect us in our
lives. Yes, I commend him on that. Yes, it is happening.
But he tries to keep all of this at bay as if it’s not
happening. It’s all in secret. We don’t hear about it.
And every once in a while you get an attack in Boston,
people say what’s going on? I thought Obama said the
tide of war is receding. I thought we don’t even use the
phrase the ‘war on terror.’ I thought the guy who killed
13 Americans in the Fort Hood shooting who jumped up on
a table and yelled ‘Allahu Akbar’ — which is the
signature of the jihad — is still today called by this
administration officially ‘workplace violence...’” Full

before misleading Benghazi account given: Information on
ground rejects protest account by Guy Taylor] "Before
the Obama administration gave an inaccurate narrative on
national television that the Benghazi attacks grew from
