Sorry TOLers

Although I may find my threads interesting, many of you  do not and some of you may have become annoyed because the threads are not conducive to discussion and debate. Please forgive me. :sigh:

You are a wonderful community of people and I am grateful for you—even the ones I disagree with.

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "Hi SD :) Nice post :)"

That's nice to say, TM.  Thanks.

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]:  Now, if we can just work on that signature."

Oh fine. You're so tedious.   Know what I love (and hate) about TOLers? If you post an error, they will correct you in 4.2 seconds. Why didn't I listen when you all said my threads were going over like a lead balloon?

Me dumb dumb. You bring me gum gum.

Response to comment [from other]:  " You are forgiven. I am impressed by your courage to post that."

You are so kind--how am I going to argue with you now?

Really, I'm getting all sappy and blubbery--you know I've got those (now that I've made the New Posts section ugly and barren ):

A Staff or Not: Did Jesus tell His disciples to take a staff?

Can We Recognize Inspiration?

Radioactive 'dating' in conflict!
Want to know how dumb I really am? I waited until 2:00p.m. (the expiration of my ban) to post new threads without skipping a beat. Wiz' was vindicated in his position that I am beyond all hope.

Response to comment [from other]:  "It takes guts to apologies and you deserve some rep for that SD. If only you could do something about your sig as well..."

Does that mean you don't want to be on my signature either?  :idunno: Boy, you're really pushin' it. :p

Thank you for being so nice, Arthur Brain.  I don't think we agree on a thing (and you've got a face only a mama could love)--but is it possible?--I missed you. :o

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]:  "Since SD has so graciously apologized, I guess it's time I own up too: I apologize for being Plastic Buddah."

 You're gettin' in my head man!

"I forgive you, but don't think you owe anyone an apology. Sometimes the things you post are interesting to me, sometimes not. Overall, I'm glad you participate here. Stick around."

You are so nice!  Is there any other place like TOL?

During my hiatus I learned things like: “ontogeny recapitulates phylogeny” :skeptic:  Is that sexy?

Response to comment [from other]:  "Metallica"

How dare you reveal that Metallica is in my playlist.   I'm supposta sound sophisticated.

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  [Get rid of sig'] "As someone not in her sig, I third that!"

What?! :idunno:

Response to comment [from other]:  "I'm still hurt you still called me a feen who dates strippers.

Oy!  This will come back to haunt me, won't it? 2 Cor 5:10.

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]:  "Just try to stick to a smaller amount of threads and get involved in those. I think it would be more productive for everyone."

I was thinking that, too.

"But judging by how many posts you edit, you are pretty good at catching your own errors."

I have this nasty habit of posting and then taking a look at what it looks like. :hammer:

"I used to post a lot more threads than I do now and I eventually realized it's not worth it, even if I do find the stories fascinating."

No, I thought it was helpful when you posted the current events of the day.  We found the same stories fascinating by the way.  I'm bored with politics, myself--which is why I loved the switch to young earth creation material.  I had planned to return to news of the day in the fall.  But, really isn't it just same ol', same ol'?  If I did post a thread, you'd already know my opinion of it.  Who cares what I think?  I don't care what I think (no argument from you).

Response to comment [from Christian]:  "Bah . . .You have never stated your personal beliefs."

Isn't it obvious?

"But amongst all the cuts and pastes, you have also once mentioned being in communication with Bob Enyart. What does that mean?"

That was a phone call, actually.  I had an important question to ask him (got a good answer by the way).

"Are you his Mrs.?"

Speaking of "Bah".  Ah, no.

"Are you one of his offspring?"

Are you calling me a baby?  :baby:  No.

"Are you one of his church congregants?"

No, but I think these Denver Bible Church members are extraordinary.  I would love to attend his church (but I love my own).  We only make it to Arvada for hockey games. :sharri:

"Are you a follower and believer in Open Theism?"

I follow Christ and believe his word.  I do not believe the future is settled (open view).  John MacArthur just gave a sermon on this very topic.  He addressed prayer--Why pray when God knows who will be saved anyway?  He did not give a sufficient answer to my mind.  I love John MacArthur.  He'll forget more than I'll ever know.  But he's wrong on this.

See:

Does God Elect Everyone? http://vananne.com/armorofthelord/AOG%20Does%20God%20Elect%20Everyone.htm

"What does that admitted insider communication mean?"

Not sure what you mean. :squint:  Do you mean speaking with Enyart?  If you're interested in speaking with him, give him a call.  He'll stop everything to care about another person (Pr 27:5).

"Transparency, please!"

I'm a bit of an introvert.  I don't like talking about myself.

Response to comment [from a Christian]: "I'll take this airtime to apologize for a rudely put comment I made about you (regarding sig line not posts). I'll qualify by saying that I don't feel any differently than I did about your sig lines, but I lost decorum and for that I'm very genuinely apologetic."

How nice of you to say.  Don't think a thing of it.  I never read the thread. :idunno:  What a great group of people you all are!

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "[T]hin[k] it is sexy?

I'm so being stupid.

Response to comment [from other]: "I applaud you for this thread..."

There you are!  Mr. Right-all-Along.  Thank you Wiz'O.

"...[S]hare them and risk the consequences."

I'm not winning you over.  I think the place to begin is:  time and chance vs. plan and purpose.

Response to comment [from other]:  "To me you have more creditability now than you did before, I did not pay a whole lot of attention to your threads in the past..."

That's nice, Jerm.  Thanks!  I may be interested in a thing but that doesn't mean that others are.  We are supposed to be about others--not ourselves.

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "Did you buy up all the Chapstick again?"

The cat is killing me. :chuckle: It's true.  I need more tools in my toolbox.

Sorry TOLers
