The Importance of a Eucharistic Life
[The Importance of a Eucharistic Life by Mike
Gendron] "Whenever I read articles like the one that follows on the
Eucharistic Jesus, it grieves my heart to see so many evangelical
leaders embracing Roman Catholicism
as a valid expression of Christianity. Either the consecrated Eucharist
is the physical presence of Jesus and we need to give it due worship or
the "miracle of transubstantiation" is a lying sign and wonder that
Satan is using to deceive the world. There is no middle ground.
The Lord Jesus warned us, "If anyone says to you, 'Behold, here is the
Christ, do not believe him'" (Matthew
24:23). Yet this is what Catholic
priests proclaim each time they lift up the Eucharist. The Apostle Paul
warned us that some will preach another Jesus whom the apostles never
preached (2
Corinthians 11:4). Scripture gives
clear evidence that the Eucharist cannot be Jesus. Since it is not
Jesus, it is a false Christ. Those who worship the Eucharist are
committing the most serious sin of idolatry. We know from God's Word
that Jesus does not return every day in the Eucharist as an offering for
sins. "He will appear a second time, not to bear sin" (Hebrews
9:28). The Bible teaches us when, where
and how the second coming of Jesus will occur. The Lord will return in a
physical body (the same way He ascended to heaven) to the Mount of
Olives with power and great glory, after the tribulation. Every eye will
see Him; there will be no question the King of Glory has returned to
rule and reign on the earth! (Matthew
24:27-30;
Acts 1:11).
In spite of this clear teaching from God's Word, Roman Catholic priest
James Farfaglia wrote the following article[:]
Jesus remains with us in the
tabernacle
of every Catholic Church. His
Real Presence
is celebrated and adored in the
monstrance
placed in every chapel dedicated to Perpetual Adoration. He is truly
with us. Every time we gaze upon him, every time Our Lord and Savior
comes to us through Holy Communion, he gives us the graces that we need
to put into practice his way of life so that we may gain eternal life in
heaven.
Each time we come to the Eucharist, it is Jesus himself who not only
shows us how to live our lives, but who also provides us with the divine
grace to live out the gospel teachings in our daily existence. This is
why we must have a daily Eucharistic life. Each time we have contact
with our Eucharistic Lord, we become one with him. We assimilate him
into our being. Holy Communion becomes a communion of two persons and
thus, transformation takes place. Only the foolish and the ignorant
would stay away from the greatest gift that Jesus has given to us...
...Saint John Bosco once said, "Visits to the Blessed Sacrament are
powerful and indispensable means of overcoming attacks of the devil.
Make frequent visits to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and the devil
will be powerless against you." Center your life on the awesome gift of
the Eucharist.

It's false.

told me Transubstantiation was not really Jesus (in the
host NOT going to happen but if it did) how was I harmed
by ingesting bread and wine?"
You despise the Lord (Isa 66:4). That means
you do not regard highly that which you should (Jn 1:1).
You eat and drink damnation upon yourself (1 Cor 11:29).
"...[G]eez... you anti Catholics..."
If I were anti-Catholic, I'd say nothing to you (2 Cor 5:11).
Response to comment [from a Catholic]: "Looks like Jesus Christ, the apostles, and the early Christian Church all missed that memo..."
Jesus wrote the memo
(Jn
1:1).
