Is Beck a racist for speaking on this day? What do you think of the Left deriding conservative's plan to gather together

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "Al Sharpton replied to the rally by saying "we are not going to let them turn back the clock"

Yet their clock stuck in the 50's and 60's.

"-- Resistance to the vast expansion of government power, intrusiveness and debt, as represented by the Tea Party movement? Why, racist resentment toward a black president.

-- Disgust and alarm with the federal government's unwillingness to curb illegal immigration, as crystallized in the Arizona law? Nativism.

-- Opposition to the most radical redefinition of marriage in human history, as expressed in Proposition 8 in California? Homophobia.

-- Opposition to a 15-story Islamic center and mosque near Ground Zero? Islamophobia.

Now we know why the country has become "ungovernable," last year's excuse for the Democrats' failure of governance: Who can possibly govern a nation of racist, nativist, homophobic Islamophobes?

Note what connects these issues. In every one, liberals have lost the argument in the court of public opinion. Majorities -- often lopsided majorities -- oppose President Obama's social-democratic agenda (e.g., the stimulus, Obamacare), support the Arizona law, oppose gay marriage and reject a mosque near Ground Zero.

What's a liberal to do? Pull out the bigotry charge, the trump that preempts debate and gives no credit to the seriousness and substance of the contrary argument. The most venerable of these trumps is, of course, the race card." The last refuge of a liberal by Charles Krauthammer

Response to comment [from an agnostic]:  "They were just saying it was silly and in bad taste."

They tried to make it a race issue. I think they've dined out on race long enough, don't you?

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "Today, many blacks reject values, which would benefit them, such as doing well in school, or striving to find legitimate occupations."

That's right. And if you share this truth in love with blacks you must be a racist. This is what the black community should be talking about--values. We could care less what skin color you have.

"[C]laim a secular moral supremacy..."

Yes, the failed religion of secularism. "Enlightenment" meant those who held traditional views were in the dark. "Progressive" means you and I are regressive. They own the language (Prager). A "living breathing Constitution" means dead (Levine), "women's reproductive healthcare choices" means murder, etc.  We could go on and on how the Left has hijacked (not a day to march in Washington) but language.

Response to comment [from a pagan]:  "...[I]gnoring one sector of American people can backlash on others."

Dad of Daniel Pearl: “At the time, I truly believed Danny’s murder would be a turning point in the reaction of the civilized world toward terrorism,” said Pearl, who engages in public conversations with Akbar Ahmed, an Islamic studies professor at American University, on behalf of the Daniel Pearl Dialogue for Muslim-Jewish Understanding. The established Muslim leadership in the United States, Pearl said, “has had nine years to build up trust by pro-actively resisting anti-American ideologies of victimhood, anger and entitlement.

Reactions to the mosque project indicate that they were not too successful in this endeavor..." Full text:  Will the real Imam Rauf please stand up? Sue Fishkoff and Ami Eden

Response to comment [from a Catholic]:  "They have a need to feel persecuted, it seems..."

I do not follow or support Beck. He's an antichrist but not a racist.

Your work-based religion (Catholicism) is closer to Mormonism than historical, biblical Christianity. You make an idol of Mary. Beck makes idols of the founding fathers. They were meant to lead not be worshipped. Wonder why neither of you learn? Matt. 10:15, Ezek. 16:46–56.

Response to comment [from a Christian]:  "I read the yahoo listed AP article. Right up they said an all white rally..."

Ends up, it was a diverse crowd.

Response to comment [from a Catholic]:  [Catholicism is] "Faith-and-works-based"

All religions of the world are work-based.  Christianity is faith based (Eph 2:8).  Your work-based religion will lead you to hell (Jude 1:11).  There is one gospel.

"Without us, you'd be worshiping Odin."

Do you believe the Roman Catholic Church today is the same church of old?

Ad hominem. You think you're decent? Jer 17:9.

We need a true revival (Neh. 8:3; Gal. 3:10).

Response to comment [from a "Christian"]:  "[M]any threads..."

I'm not posting too many threads.   How ya been Kmo'?

"Is it true Beck told people to not bring political signs to his rally? If so, I think that's pretty cool."

Why is that cool?

Response to comment [from a Catholic]:  "Faith and works."

Faith that works.

See:

Faith Plus Nothing Equals Salvation J. Vernon McGee

"Your faith is dead, because you will not accept God's call to works."

Why do you believe your works matter?  Your works add up to a hill of beans because they are not in Christ (Isa 64:6).  You are a God-resisting, rebellious, unrepentant sinner.  Get yourself a savior.  Then, your works will matter.

[Your work-based religion will lead you to hell (Jude 1:11).] "God says it will lead us to Him."

Read it again (Eph 2:8-9).

[Do you believe the Roman Catholic Church today is the same church of old?] "As you learned we still accept all of the Gospel as it was written."

You believe the same thing that this Roman Catholic was taught to believe in 431?  You and he have the same relationship with the Lord?  When he presents his works and you present yours, on what basis will each of you be permitted to live with the Lord forever?  Link

"...[Y]ou are offended by the idea that God expects you to do for others."

What is offensive about doing good for others?

How can goodness come from the putrid fountain of your heart? Jer 17:9.  http://vananne.com/serpentdove/unregenerate%20heart.htm

"Don't bother telling us that if people aren't perfect, they aren't any better than you are."

On what basis are you better (your words not mine) than me?   I'm better off (Jn 5:24) but not better than you.
